When you spend three years in a dark, small arena, shit happens. After all, I like delving deep into the characters I RP as.

Due to spending three years in a prison without sunlight, Velvet is unnaturally pale, much like a ghost. It takes her some time to return to a normal skin tone but, even at the slightest lack of it, her skin will start returning to the pale color it was before without question, much like a tan.

Because of this, Velvet is a bit grumpier while indoors. It reminds her of being caged in for those years. It’s also a sign of claustrophobia, as she can’t actually stand being indoors too long without having a (silent and internalized) breakdown and wanting to get out.

Emil had been doing pretty well in keeping his head out of trouble however, and damn his feet for it, he tripped into a female. A quick stammering of apology left him and then–

Oh man she was scary looking. He felt it best to perhaps not make eye contact. Well, okay sue him, he did glance at her face. 

“I-I’m Sorry.”

She turns upon impact, to glare down at the boy who had run into her. Her bandaged appendage clenches slightly as golden eyes narrow. How dare he run into her without saying something? The daemoneater tries to keep her cool, instead standing there and staring as he apologizes.

❝Apologies mean nothing without action.❞ The words fall from her pale lips she looks away. Clearly, this boy had no involvement with Artorius and, thus, not worth her time. ❝If you’re truly sorry, you won’t run into me like that again.❞
