I wrote up a really beautiful post last night about how we would be lighting the inaugural fire and Instagram some how had a technical error while posting. I don’t remember everything i wrote but here it goes.. Following a trail of lights, the sounds of howling and deep belly laughter echoing as we make our way over to the circle.. @rainedawn93 leads us into ceremony as we each take a small pinch of tobacco to offer gratitude and together we sing beautiful song… I often think back to the moment the Wolf offering crafted by @das_bodies fully caught fire and how the flames grew the highest I’ve ever seen as we danced under the full moon. The light and heat of the fire reflecting off our bodies as we let go and let the wild womxn take the lead… It was that moment, this experience that I realized what had been created. This connection, much bigger than I, much bigger than us.. relearning what most of us already knew and remembering freedom. While I sit here, heart broken not to be with you amazing humans this weekend, meditating on this moment and bringing those feelings back to life brings me immense peace and love. We will ALWAYS be thinking of you and you will always be in our hearts; that inner wild womxn waiting to feel pure and total freedom. Hello Foxes! 🦊 As we enter the second half of 2020, it has become clear to us that we must postpone The Fox Run 2020 #WildWomxnWeekend. As a grassroots event and the current state of our world health collide, we feel it’s our duty to keep everyone involved; safe and healthy. Like many of you, we’ve felt a lot of resistance this year around gathering and we need to do what we feel is best collectively for all involved. We need a Wild Womxn Weekend more than ever right now, but nothing is worth more to us than the safety of each and every fox. Some of you may know, our event founder; Lucy, has been dealing with ongoing health issues. Currently, she is on the long road to healing Endometriosis stage III and pelvic floor trauma; all of which cause other painful ailments. She talks openly about her healing journey on her personal Instagram platform, using her time advocating and helping others who are or may be dealing with similar issues. What we’ve learned is that healing is not only a physical; but also a mental, journey. We would like to say thank you for your patience and love as we navigate through this new normal. We miss each and everyone of you so much and cannot wait to be able to see you all soon! Instead of hundreds of howling sisters around the bonfire, we want to create an experience fitting for our times. To connect riders and encourage the spirit of sisterhood in smaller groups; If you’re looking to take a road trip, let us know so we can share it and your photos.
