TWIN FORKS TO HEADLINE FIRST ANNUAL FOLSOM TOUR
Folk rock Americana group Twin Forks, fronted by Dashboard Confessional’s Chris Carrabba, will be hitting the road this month on the first-annual Folsom Tour with Dan Layus of Augustana and up-and-comers, The Social Animals.
Opting for more intimate venues on this run, the artists have selected a group of listening rooms and bars to re-connect fans with music. The Folsom Tour aims to bring inspiration to those in the audience, as well as the musicians on stage.
Folsom Records owner/found Rich Egan explains, “when Chris [Carrabba] asked about getting on the road with artists who share his vision of writing, of playing to people – and creating a small scene around the music, I thought, ‘That’s what we’ve always done. Absolutely. And we looked around. Dan was a no brainer, but finding a young/new act like The Social Animals, it brings a whole other dimension to an unplugged plugged-in situation.”
The Folsom Tour will kick off on April 20th in Asbury Park, NJ. Visit twinforksmusic.com for tickets & more info!

X AMBASSADORS RELEASE ‘HOPING’ IN SUPPORT OF ACLU
X Ambassadors released a new song overnight called “Hoping.” The title sets the tone for the track, which will benefit the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) via proceeds from sales for the next six months.
Drummer Adam Levin explained to Billboard that “‘Hoping’ is a song we wrote in the days following the 2017 presidential election... The day after the election we woke up scared, and we’ve woken up scared every day since. We decided to turn that fear into action, and wrote a song."
The release comes just days after the band performed a benefit concert for Planned Parenthood in Los Angeles on International Women’s Day.
With all that’s going on in mainstream media, lyrics that set out to inspire and resonate with listeners, is exactly what the world needs right now.
