The evolution of my installation “INFLECTION” over the course of three months. - Since the first iteration, I knew there were features I wanted to integrate (haze, low-laying fog, haptic transducers, surround sound speakers, motorized LED bars, and spherical projection). - My biggest challenge was maintaining this ambitious vision while being malleable to logistical/budgetary limitations. Such a cool past week. I couldn’t think of a better project to re-awaken my stage designs post the pandemic purgatory then for my soul family @hiatuskaiyote. - I’ve been dreaming about designing a new version of their live show for awhile now. This new one is an amalgamation of all our previous stages designs; starting with the first one way back in 2016, then the Sydney Opera House show, and finally the 2019 show. - It’s been such a treat sharing a part of this journey with these beautiful people. I’ll bookmark this moment of my life and think back about it with a warm feeling inside. Concept design I made for a multi-use art space I dubbed META_SPACE. The design features LED stalactites, infinity mirrors, LED walls, LED floor, and custom LED hexagon risers. The modular design of the hexagon risers allows for quick and easy rearrangement - great for converting the space into different configurations. I really enjoy dreaming up this stuff. Perhaps this or something similar will see the light of day.
