This is BK! He was spotted by several employees at BK Shuckers a couple weeks ago. He would show up every few nights and snack on the left over table crumbs in their outdoor dining patio. One of the animal loving, BK servers, Danielle noticed that his eyes looked funky and that his vision seemed to be impaired. Danielle was able to trap him over the weekend and we took him in immediately. BK and I went to see Dr. Jessica today and his right eye has cornea perforation. His left squinty eye may be in better shape, but it's too difficult to tell at this point. As of right now, he can't see a thing. It's amazing that he adjusted and survived outside with zero vision. We're hoping both his eyes can be saved, but there is a high probability that his right eye and possibly the left eye(depending) will have to be removed. That's the bad news... The good news: He is extremely good at navigating and getting around with zero vision. Surprisingly, he is super friendly, loves attention, and seems very thankful to have been rescued! I also want to say thanks to Debbie, Lita, and Brandi who reached out and tried to get him to the Dowdy's(vets) earlier in the weekend, but being a holiday weekend my work schedule was crazy and we couldn't link up to make it happen. Also big thanks to Danielle and BK Shuckers for getting this little guy! #LoveAnimals #BeKindToFerals #spayandneuter #TNR #adopt
