School teacher? [Asurey lingered in a thought for a moment before she heard the words âideaâ and âcraft.â and her face lit up. Clasping her hands together, she smiled.] I can help with some craft ideas. I can read too sometimes if you need the extra help.
That would be lovely. [tilts her head] Like a special guest reader? Hmm now that's an idea. I'll have to think about that.
Well I might have an idea. You asked me earlier if I had a job. Maybe I can help you with your work, whatever you do. What do people even do these days?
Oh well, I'm a school teacher, and the plans are pretty simple and the crafts, so I'm not sure I need help, but ideas for some of those crafts might be nice. I feel like it's always the same color this, draw that. And eventually that's not fun anymore.
Pondering over her teacherâs words, Paige looked out the windows trying to come up with an idea. âMama says that weâre all missing something. Sometimes itâs a person, other times itâs an object, but we all find it eventually. She says thatâs how you know what true happiness is like; finding the one thing you canât live without.â
"Your mom sounds very wise. I think she and I would get along well. What do you think, Paige?"
No, I just donât really have anything to do for a whole day. Usually how it is with me. Iâm lucky if someone wants to buy a house or if Graham comes over for dinner. I have the most open time than anyone in this town.Â
Oh. Well, we could do something if you like? I'm afraid I am a bit short on ideas other than walking, talking, and movies.

A smile lifted at one of the corners of his mouth. Thankfully Mary Margaret of Storybrooke shared Snow Whiteâs generosity and kindness when it came to new people. It would make it easier to see if she knew something that could help him.
"It is certainly nice with some change around here, heavens knows this town doesnât have that in any kind of abundance." As he pulled out the offered chair, and joined Mary Margaret, he tried to seem as nonchalant as possible, as he tried to dig around a bit in what she may or may not know.
"So it may only be me, but does the town feel different these days? Anything unusual happen in your life, or is that too personal too early?" He said with a laugh and a charming smile. And to further hide his curiosity, he quickly changed subject once again, happy that sheâd offered him a way to do so.
"Ah, if youâre offering it would be rude to refuse. Any kind of tea would be preferable, really. Iâm not a picky man."
"You're right. Sometimes I don't know whether to be bored by it, or happy that things are stable here when they aren't elsewhere." Miss Blanchard mused as she stirred her coffee with a nod. She wasn't positive who he was, even so, she had no reason to be less than kind. "Mary Margaret by the way. That's my name." Her hand raised as she waved and the waitress headed over. She ordered the tea then answered what he said before.
"Oh I can pick what I share, so it's not too intrusive, no. Things are different in some ways and not in other ways. The main difference is the clock moving now. It's almost like time hadn't moved for so long and now it has started. But that is rather strange... isn't it?"
[Stares at her with a few slow blinks then clenches her jaw as she turns back to her work.] Then I suggest you pay better attention. You donât want to cause an accident from your clumsiness.
Gee thank you for sounding so concerned. I'll try to remember.
"Are you sad often Miss Blanchard?"
"Oh I don't think it's anymore often than anyone else is... Just something is missing and I am not sure what."
âOh you bet, first they blessed us with Harrison Ford as Han Solo and then they blessed us with a bearded Mcgregor as Obi Wan.â Nora replied.Â
âYeah I get that, they tend to sexualise kids clothes as well sometimes and itâs like theyâre three, theyâre trying to be the sugar plum fairy not a freakin whore. No this thing, yeah it was nightmarish. It was like the toy makers though making the doll look like a hooker on purpose was a good idea.â Nora added. âNo but I like Barbie, Barbie despite her faults was actually a pretty good role model.âÂ
"I'm afraid I don't recognize the second one." The movies Snow has seen is quite limited, and does not tend to yield to fantasy like that, but more toward love stories. To some it was a travesty, but to her, she liked what she liked.
"I have seen shorter shorts for little girls than I have for people my age. I don't know..." She nodded. "Oh definitely in the sense that she shows girls they can do anything they dream."
I go there after I visit Mr. Gold every morning. If Iâm early I go there before I visit Mr. Gold. [Asurey chuckled softly, checking the time on her phone. A whole day with nothing to do. A light sigh escaped the young brunetteâs lips.]
Oh well that's lovely. [her brow knits at the sigh] Is something the matter? Do you need to go?
Humming to herself, Paige considered the teacherâs words. She obviously had been, but heck if she knew why. It was doubtful that she was alone in her affection though, everyone had at least one story they related to and loved. âSo Ms. Blanchard, that bird that you showed us, does it still come visit you?â
"The bluebird? Yes he does. Especially when I'm sad. But that's what the bluebird of happiness does. Ventures where happiness is needed."
Sighing, Paige shook her head. âItâs really sad. Especially if youâve grown attached to the characters. When I was younger I was obsessed with this book series, I donât even remember the title now. But I just loved them, and they ended. I think I cried for two weeks straight when I heard the news. Mom and Dad didnât know what to do with me. Has that ever happened to you Ms. Blanchard?â
"Oh I've been upset but I can't recall it affecting me for such a long time. You must have been especially affected by the characters."

Jefferson had gone to the dinner called Grannyâs, a place run by Widow Lucas, grandmother of Red who in Storybrooke was known as Ruby. Both people he hadnât known back in the enchanted forest, but knew by name only.Â
Heâd figured with the dinner being the preferred eating spot for quite a big part of town, maybe talk had already begun circulating. Talk that could help him figure this whole ordeal out.
When he got there he saw who his fake memories told him was named Mary Margaret. Who back home had been the famous Snow White, known in several realms, not only the Enchanted Forest.
He figured the easiest way to get to talk to her, and see if she knew anything, was to strike up some light small talk, and try not to seem prodding when doing so.
With a smile he approached her, hoping she wouldnât be too displeased with having her reading interrupted.
ââMorninâ miss. Already looks like itâll be quite the sunny day, huh?â
Her ankle bounced a little as she read. Thankfully she had read the book several times so her reading was more skimming for remembrance and filling gaps than dead set word for word reading. And it was more apparent that was a good thing when someone casted a shadow over her table and started to speak with her.
Sliding a bookmark into her page, Mary Margaret looked up with a smile, and stirred her coffee with the small straw she had within the mug. "That it does. Looking forward to less dreary weather for awhile. I was beginning to wonder if we would ever see the sun again." She gestured to the seat across from her once she put her book down. "You can sit down. Would you like a drink, I could have Granny come over. I'll pay, no matter at all. Only if you'd like of course." He seemed friendly and she wasn't one to turn away a smile and a kind face, let alone a conversation.
"Noted." Paige smiled and nodded to her explanation, understanding the trouble behind waiting for books to hit the shelves. "Itâs really annoying, but mother says it helps to work on patience and whatnot⊠so I guess it can be good. I just donât see it that way.â
"It's good in the sense that you know one of your favorite series has closed, but once you rad that last book it's like the saga ended. Of course you can read the series again, but it's not quite the same."
Emma was completely startled, eyes wide as she turned around.  âOh Mary Margaret! I completely didnât notice you there!â  She laughed lightly and gave a small nod.  âYa know, if I didnât know any better, Iâd almost think Henry was right and you were my momâŠbut Iâll definitely take you up on that offer!Â
"Sorry to scare you there... And that actually might not be that terrible. Being your mother I mean." She laughed as teased and nodded. "Perfect. Granny's or my apartment?"
[Asurey nodded as she let go of the other womenâs hand.] No I donât work, well I kinda do. Land owner. You may have seen me around the Pawn Shop or Grannyâs
Quite possible since I go to Granny's every morning then again after work. And in the summer, it might be less frequently, but at least once a day I suppose.
Ever since Regina had placed Jefferson, and many others in this cursed town named Storybrooke, every day had been the same. Nothing changed, and nothing happened. Jefferson himself had spent everyday watching his daughter live happily with parents that werenât him.Â
But now, something had changed. Things were happening, and life started to wake up in this ghost town.
As heâd headed outside for the first time in a very long while, Jefferson was determined to find out what had happened. Or who had happened.
Ever since David woke up or even since Emma came to town, things have been different. And not just for Mary Margaret, but for many around her. However for the sake of herself, she tried to maintain some order before, even if she couldn't help being curious about Emma and Henry... And the time starting again, the clock finally moving...
Her mind mulled over a few of those thoughts as she sat at a table in Granny's with a book, flipping through the delicate pages when she finished reading them and not a second more. It was sort of early, but that gave her quiet even when she noted who was there with a sip of her coffee, three creams, two sugar. There was a whisper around her about the events of the town and try as she might, she couldn't not listen... at least a little.
"What else do you like to read Ms. Blanchard? Is there anything you can recommend?"
"Well, for you I would suggest Charlie Bones books, they are quite interesting, then there's the Harry Potter series of course, and The Series of Unfortunate Events. They have all stopped putting books out, so you would be able to read all of them without waiting for the next book which is lovely in one way and disappointing in others."
