Persona 5 Headcanons: Okumura Haru
Note: These are the headcanons that I had for Haruโs character before we knew anything about her, I think we only knew her name and her appearance at the time (meaning these headcanons of mine in particular are nearly three years old soon). In fact, these are so old that they were from back when the P5 MC was simply โChair-kunโ to the fandom. Decided to post them here instead of my other blog so I hope someone enjoys them ^^
- Haruka is actually her full name. But she dislikes it, so she goes by Haru instead.
- While she is sweet and kind to the few friends she does have, she is otherwise anti-social. However, she has been known to stand up for her friends when her father badmouths them.
- In battle, Haru is as savage as Makoto. โChair-kunโ presumes itโs her way of taking out her frustration on something that cannot punish her (unlike her father)
- Haru gets along with her mother and aunt but, while she loves him dearly, she cannot see eye-to-eye with her father.
- She generally dislikes his greedy and smug behavior. Haru is also quite sad because he wasnโt always like that.
- Haru is good friends with Makoto and the Vice President in the Student Council.
- She is amused by Ryuji, likes chatting with Ann, tries to make Futaba feel safe in their little group, likes posing for Yusukeโs paintings, finds Morgana adorable but sassy, cannot explain why but dislikes Goro and is friends with Makoto, on whom she has an unrequired crush (that started when they were in middle school)
- Haru is bi and has accepted it after finding out about her crush on Makoto.
- Her family knows about her being bi and, while her mother and aunt accept it without major problems, her father dislikes it and wants to find her an arranged marriage as soon as she graduates from high school. Itโs yet another among many rifts between daughter and father.
- Haru likes dogs, cats and caring for abandoned animals.
- She dislikes greediness, smugness and cruelty.
- Her Persona reflects her in the sense that they both can be classy and stylish but also something to be feared in combat.
- Haru knows that Makoto doesnโt see her as anything but a friend (she isnโt even aware of the crush) and has accepted it.
- Haru likes to take care of the others in the group, often helping out the girls with their problems and being a friend to the guys.
- Not even her family knows about her crush. Aside from herself, only โChair-kunโ knows.
