WHHHYYYYY was Jericho cancelled!!!???!! I was searching for something to watch on Netflix and came across this little show called Jericho. Seeing as it only had two seasons, one only being 7 episodes long, I almost did not watch it. Then, I saw Daddy Skeet Ulrich was the star, so I gave it a chance.

I just finished and I am literally at a loss on why anyone thought it was a good idea to cancel this show!!! Bring back Jericho!!!

cool fanfact: Jericho was cancelled by season 1 but the show had grown such a large fanbase that they decided to give it one more season.

and by decided: in the show Skeet Ulrich character has a line that mentions 'nuts'. The fans grew angry for the cancellation that decided to send thousands & thousands pounds of nuts to the CBS studios.

Seth’s tattoo is a love letter. 

Seth got the tattoo to cover up horrific burn scars that he got after his brother set their home on fire to kill their abusive father. The father that largely seemed to leave Richie alone and emotionally and physically beat Seth. Some of the things that were mentioned (bashing a glass bottle over his head if he didn’t re assemble a gun in the proper amount of time) were life threatening. Richie was watching his brother’s life threatened every single day while he remained, according to Seth. much less scathed. 

When the fire was lit, Seth, despite being weak from smoke inhalation, called out for his father and wanted to save him. For all of the abuse Seth suffered, he was still empathetic towards his father and didn’t want to see him die. Richie on the other hand, was willing to do something unthinkable and didn’t look back once.

Richie Gecko loved his brother so much that be murdered their father to save him from being beaten and possibly killed. He asked Seth to “cover up” the incident- something that Seth did blindly and obediently like he always does. He got a trashy tattoo that he wasn’t particularly fond of and hid the scars that (unknowingly to him) he attained through a violent act of love on his brothers part.

The ink is a physical representation of Richie’s love for Seth. The ink bled into his skin like the blood that Richie spilled to keep him safe when they were children. Seth sanctified those wounds and made the incident eternal, never once questioning Richie as to why or how. Seth Gecko wears his brothers love for him on his skin. He’s wearing the murder of his father. He’s infused that love that Richie has for him to his very own body.
