ā ļø NEW SERIES ALERT ā ļø
After two days of brainstorming with myself, I now made up my mind with my new series in this blog. I will try out different films and post my take on each film. Like a mini review of some sort. Iām not yet too technical with film photography so I will review the films based on my preference.
I live in Japan so I encounter a lot of weird film emulsions. I will try the weirdest and the quirkiest ofā¦

Mayon Volcano ATV Adventure | Albay, Philippines
As the legends say that if you arrive in Legazpi, Albay and the Mayon Volcano stays behind the clouds, you have masamang budhi (evil or something). And this happened:
At the Legaspi Airport.
One of the best way to see Mayon Volcano up close and personal is through ATV. Near the Cagsawa ruins, there are shops where you can rent ATVs and there are also different trails to choose from. We chose theā¦

I Can Fly
Well not literally, flying in a plane, thatās what I meant.
I really love plane rides or any other rides, may it be bus, train, car, everything. I donāt mind the travel time really because when I am travelling by plane for example, my mind is programmed to think that Iām going somewhere special or somewhere familiar. So what I do is just enjoy the ride and every minute spent will be worth it.

I almost died (got killed). Not once but thrice. | Burkina Faso
To be honest, I donāt pray (anymore). Last time I went to church, I canāt remember. Iām Catholic. All my family are. But I donāt know what happened to me.
My mother who was a catholic ever since was very religious. Every sunday, she would drag us from bed just to attend the mass. But for a typical boy like me, I would prefer to just stay at home and play with my pokemon cards. It came to a pointā¦

Saigon Travel Experience
As the only OFW of our highschool barkada, I donāt get to go to 90% of the gala. May it be a hike, beach trip or just a coffee shop hangout.
There was a point in my life that I feel alienated from my friends. I left every group chat. I felt alone. I was alone.
Then this July Saigon trip happened. This trip is almost a year in the making. And it was worth it.
I prefer travelling solo. I donātā¦

Through the Lens: Malaria in Africa
Through the Lens: Malaria inĀ Africa
Two years ago, I wrote this blog post about my near death experiences in Burkina Faso. I got sick with Malaria, missed a coup dāetat and a terror attack. Thatās why this photo is very important to me. Malaria changed me.
I borrowed a couple of paragraphs from that post but you can always check out the blog post here.

Through the Lens: Rolex (not the watch)
Through the Lens: Rolex (not theĀ watch)
Rolex is a famous Ugandan street food which is made out of an egg or two sandwiched in a roll of chapati. Chapati or roti is a type of flat bread which originated from India but it is widely popular in this part of the globe because of the huge Indian population in East Africa.
Itās called rolex because the chapati and the scrambled egg is rolled (just guessing here lol). The price starts atā¦

Through The Lens: Conquering my StageĀ Fright
Iām very lucky to be part of the three out of four operator trainings in Uganda. I was supposed to just assist but they asked me to be a trainer. Itās weird that Iām still a trainee myself but I donāt have any choice. Also, Iām not much of a talker actually so speaking in front of this crowd gave me an anxiety.
This experience made me a lot stronger because Iām normally aloof. I learned how toā¦

Through The Lens: Hopia, Mani, Popcorn
Through The Lens: Hopia, Mani,Ā Popcorn
Uganda has a very centralized system. Majority of the malls/outlets can only be found in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. Iām currently based in Mbale. Roughly three to six hours from Kampala depending on the mode of transportation but I normally take the bus so itās six hours of travel for me.
I love to travel but traveling in Uganda is so stressful. Thereās no air conditioned bus (fromā¦

Rwanda: The Land of a Thousand Hills
Iāve been planning this Christmas/New Year trip since I arrived in Uganda six months ago. With my current work permit, I can just go to Kenya or Rwanda whenever I please because it will be visa free and I only need an Interstate pass.
By October, I already booked my accommodation and plotted my itinerary. Come December, I encountered a couple of hiccups mostly brought by my work commitments so Iā¦

Career Talks
Before pursuing my career in Engineering, I always wanted to be a teacher. Well, not always but after our Career Orientation Seminar on my last year in HS, Iām certain that Iāll become a teacher someday.
What happened? I was not really pressured by my parents. Actually they let me decide what to take. I have two options that time. To go for Engineering or Social Science in the University of theā¦

LIFE UPDATE: Got a Le Petit Prince Tattoo
You know how much I love The Little Prince. No? Well you can read my other post right here. Letās go back to that time I almost cried while watching the movie while onboard my flight from Dubai.
So there, I got a new tattoo. This is the second time that I got a tattoo influenced by my love for books. The first one is a Harry Potter wand.
Before getting the tattoo, I have three tattoo concepts.ā¦

LIFE UPDATE: Got Another Tattoo
Hey! Another day, another blog post! I got a new tattoo! Yey!
After my last tattoo in June, Iāve been itching to get another one. The problem is Iām out of the country so I cannot get my new tattoo done from my trusted tattoo artist in Baguio City, Philippines. Two weeks upon arrival in Uganda, I started researching on the best tattoo artists in Uganda. Unfortunately, the tattoo scene in Uganda is still booming so there are only few options for the artist.ā¦
