The Hulk won’t be in ‘Captain America: Civil War’
It seems that we won’t be seeing the Big Guy in “Captain America” Civil War” revealed Mark Ruffalo himself in a recent interview, but fret not because it appears Marvel has big plans for The Hulk..
“The reason is too great to be revealed in this movie (Civil War),” Ruffalo tells BadTaste.it. “I was in the script but then they removed my character. They don’t want to reveal where is he and why. I don’t even know if Hulk will be back soon.”
In the same interview, Ruffalo went on to say, “ However, they want to keep the revelation of what happened a secret, because it is something really big.”
There has been much speculation about The Hulk’s involvement in the upcoming film especially since the last time we saw him in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” he went left the team and Black Widow to parts unknown. Rumors about Ruffalo being in “Civil War” continued to grow when he was spotted in Germany with the rest of the cast as well as Robert Downey Jr’s (Tony Stark) early confirmation that The Hulk was going to be in the movie, according to ComicBookResources.com.
"Captain America: Civil War" opens on May 6, 2016.
‘The Iron Giant’ to return to the big screen
“The Iron Giant” holds a special place in my heart. Not just because I was still a kid when it was released or that it really was a great, under-rated film, but because it’s still one of the very few movies that consistently makes me cry. Well, me and other blubbering nerds like me, will have the chance to experience the space giant’s heart-wrenching “Superman” on the big screen when Warner Bros. re-releases the 1999 film in theaters for a special two-day engagement on Wednesday, Sept. 30 and Sunday, Oct. 4. The film will feature new, additional scenes. Fathom Events is currently selling tickets for the special screening of the film which is an adaptation of Ted Hughes' Cold War fable, where a giant alien robot (Vin Diesel) crash-lands near the small town of Rockwell, Maine, in 1957. The giant is found by 9-year-old Hogarth and the two become friends. When a paranoid government agent, Kent Mansley, becomes determined to destroy the robot, Hogarth and beatnik Dean McCoppin (Harry Connick Jr.) must do what they can to save the misunderstood machine. The film initially bombed in the theaters but received rave reviews from the critics. Luckily, as is the case with many films, the movie about the interstellar robot quickly became a cult classic after it was released to video.

The Bob’s Burgers Burger Book is now available for pre-order! About a week ago, I got the chance to visit Bento Box Studios in Burbank California. I sat down with Loren Bouchard and caught up, and got to take a tour. I spent the afternoon talking with the artists behind the show and got to see a lot of the art that will be in the book - including this cover! They also let me hold their Emmy award, which is way heavier than you’d think! Thanks so much, bentoboxent, I had such a great time! The book will be out next March, and is currently available for preorder at Barnes and Noble and Amazon.

Roddy Piper’s final role was of a cthulhu-battling janitor in ‘Portal to Hell!!’
In what is being called wrestling great “Rowdy” Roddy Piper’s final film role, the icon battles the H. P. Lovecraft deity in the independent film, “Portal to Hell!!” The film is a Toronto International Film Festival selected short film and will take place Sept. 10 to 20. Here is the write up from the film team:
The apartment-superintendent hero of this primo slice of Canuxploitation has enough on his plate, what with all the plumbing and electrical problems and high-maintenance tenants. But then some jerks open up a multidimensional gateway in the basement. Thankfully, the guy standing between humanity and its certain destruction is played by the late, great "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.

Is a Xena reboot on the horizon?
Although Lucy Lawless, the woman who brought Xena to the small screen, initially said there were no plans to reboot the popular series, NBC Entertainment chairman, Bob Greenblatt, told The Hollywood Reporter the network is working on bringing the warrior princess back to television.
"Yes, we're in the early stages of developing a new take on Xenaand we're looking for a writer. We want to do it," Greenblatt told THR on Wednesday.
While how the series will play out has yet to be solidified, Greenbaltt told THR that "there is a deal with Sam and Rob Tapert to produce, and it's with NBC International."
Although, the confirmation comes only a few days after Lawless tweeted out that plans for the reboot were just rumors. Greenblatt said he doesn’t rule out having her be part of the upcoming series.
"We'd love to have Lucy be a part of it — if we felt that her presence didn't overshadow the direction we take with it. I'm not sure how she could be part of it if she wasn't playing Xena, and I don't know if that's a direction we'll ever go," he said.
Are you ready for the reboot?
Are these the newest plans for Disney’s ‘Star Wars,’ Marvel attractions?
It appears that things are solidifying for the rumored “Star Wars” and Marvel attractions at Disneyland according to MiceChat.
“The plans to add Star Wars to Disneyland have changed course and grown in scale rapidly since we first told you several years ago about the Tomorrowland proposal that would have wiped out Autopia. The plan for Star Wars Land has grown immensely in scale, and it’s now aimed squarely at the land north of Disneyland itself. Taking over the Festival Arena, the Circle D Ranch, Mickey’s Toontown and several rehearsal halls and office buildings just north of Toontown. The Circle D property, where all of the park’s horses, goats and other animals are kept will be moving off property to a new facility nearby, and the horses will then be trailered in for their 4 hour shifts pulling the Horse Drawn Streetcars on Main Street.”
The site goes on to say that the Star Wars Launch Bay will also morph into the official Star Wars Land preview center for the park once construction begins. It speculates that the Star Wars Launch Bay addition coming to Disneyland late this fall will be announced at this weekend’s D23 Expo.
Sounds like a pretty large undertaking and exciting.
The site also goes on to talk about the Marvel expansion: “ [T]he E Ticket thrill ride that is planned to anchor that expansion is going to be very unique. The ride will feature a newly Imagineered hybrid ride system that might be best described as a combination of Rock N’ Roller Coaster and Universal’s Transformers ride using every trick and gimmick WDI can throw at it, including on-board audio and effects and elaborate sets and animatronics.”
The big question mark hanging over the plans is figuring out how parking will work but we’re looking forward to seeing how all of this will turn out.
