you ever think about how aelwyn abernant had all the confidence in the world that her teenaged younger sister would become elven oracle when the previous one died? or that her same sister, who had every reason to fucking hate her, would be the only one who could go into her mind and find the security measure she set to protect herself, in some sort of terribly horribly fucked up act of trust? do you ever think about the siblings of it all? how she felt she’d failed adaine as an older sister but this knowledge, this confidence, was the only sort of faith she could have in adaine?
istg if we dont get the trailer for the next season of d20 tomorrow im going to explode.
We got ccod trailer a week after the teaser and ep1 2 weeks after that. If I have to wait more than 2 more weeks for this episode im actually going to explode school is about to start again I cant handle it.

Queerness in ACOC
Almost done watching acoc now, which of course means its time to make an oc. In making this oc, I've been think about the general acceptance of queerness within calorum.
We know that Caramelinda and Lazuli were in love and engaged to be married. Duke Jawbreaker is also polyamourus, although under the bulb only able to be married to one person. Similarly, Annabelle was stripped from her title for not wanting to be married/have children (not necessarily queer, but infertility is a condition of most queer relationships) although I dont remember if this was pre/post concord.
This leads me to believe that similarly to the Christian church, the bulbian church is not accepting of queerness, while at least traditional Candian society is.
As I haven't finished the season yet, I dont know the specifics of post campaign calorum, but hopefully the power of the bulbian church is lowered 🤞
its been a fortnight and I should have finished acoc so long ago but I just did so im coming back to this because I have thoughts
Candia's magic is growing, the priests and the power of the bulbian church is diminishing, The Meatlands are very explicitly being rid of bulbian teachings (I've decided that monogamy and heterosexuality are bulbian).
I do think that post Amethar becoming Emperor queerness becomes much more normalized and accepted, although perhaps still taboo in Vegetania/other heavily religious areas.
One interesting thing to note is that we get no information about the future of Fructera in the finale, as opposed to Vegetabnia and Cerisia who both send Saccharina Missives. This is unfortunate for me personally cus my oc Is Fructeran but wtvr I have enough lore to supplement.
