The thing that truly gets me about minecraft is that this world exists without you. You are the visitor, the explorer, the destroyer, the lover. You're the main character, you ought to be the center of every living things' universe. And yet the sun will still rise and the villagers will still wake up. The crops will still need tending.

And even after you defeat the being you believe to be the center of the world's woes... nothing ostensibly changes. The sun still rises. The crops still need tending. And in all of this, you're still equal with the world. Your value was there. You just didn't have to earn it.
