Bring me to a place where the sun sets, cos I love the colors of the sky at that time.

Bring me anywhere, as long you also enjoy the place. What is more important for me is the quality time being spent together, not how fancy the place is. And I prefer not spending too much on dates, I prefer “tipid” dates. 🙂

Healing takes a lot of courage. It isn’t only asking you to forgive those who have hurt you but it also requires you to accept yourself completely and unconditionally. There are days that are still hard and frustrating. We just wanted to be left alone, to sit down with the pain and cry it all out. But for some reason or another, we just can’t do it yet. There are also days that we feel like we’re about to give up and just walk away completely with nothing but our broken pieces and wait until emptiness soothes the soul. It’s not really that easy. It does take time to heal, to accept that some things are meant to be temporary no matter how hard you try, and how badly we want it in our life. We often fail, sometimes we stumble, we have our limitations and it takes a lot of guts to accept the truth that no matter how strong we think we are, we also need some rescuing.

There was a time when I wished for a love that would make your world turn in slow motion or just leave you so breathless. I fell in love with the idea of falling in love with someone so fiercely and have that someone love me back with the same intensity. I’ve read about love in books and fairy tales and these have become my benchmarks. According to books that I’ve stumbled upon, you are in love when you look at the person next to you and suddenly time just stops – everything freezes and you are right there, feeling all blissful with your heart pounding as you stare into those hazel brown eyes and know deep inside that this person is someone you’d gladly spend your lifetime with. This is the person you’d fight for battle after battle; the person you’d like to see next to you upon waking up in the morning and before going to sleep at night. This is the person you’d willingly take back mistake after mistake; the person you’d chase the moment he/she walks away; the person you’d never run away from. You look at that someone and know that before words are spoken out loud, you’ve already given him/her your heart and soul and you know that he/she is worth the risk. I looked and longed for that kind of love. The person I love doesn’t seem to make my world stop. There was never intense heart pounding and extreme bliss just like those in the books. What we have is something that is pure and silent and deep. I’ve never read about this kind of love in novels and I wonder if love is sometimes supposed to feel that way. Does love make you feel so comfortable that sitting together in silence doing your own thing is never awkward? Is love supposed to make you feel so assured that you don’t worry about what tomorrow holds because you are so sure that both of you are going to be in each other’s future? Can love be uncomplicated and rational? Whatever we feel for each other, can this be construed as real love? Yes, we were not attracted to each other the first time we met. We started in the most boring way – as friends. Our love is never like those written in the novels and it is not always perfect and exciting. But I feel that ours is true. What we feel for each other is a different version of love, but it is just as real as those described in books. Love comes in different forms. It might not be what you expected – or wanted – but it is surely what is meant for you; it is what you deserve.

Gusto mo ba magbraces?

Una pa lang binabalaan na kita, hindi madali ang magkaroon ng braces. Mas malaking responsibilidad ang pagaalaga ng ngipin kapag meron na nito. Parang pagibig, never ito naging madali. Once na pumasok ka na sa isang relasyon, mas lalaki yung responsibilidad mo. Hindi lang sa sarili mo, kundi pati sa taong mahal mo.

Check your teeth. Look for the things na kailangang kailangang ayusin. Sungki, open bite, spaces, etc. Kung wala namang aayusin, bakit ka pa magbebraces diba? Pangporma? Para cool? Bakit ka magboboyfriend/girlfriend ng gwapo o maganda? Pangdisplay? Para masabi lang na taken ka? No. You should know the difference between needs and wants. Wag kang maginarte dahil yang braces ginawa yan para ayusin ang ngipin at hindi para sabihing sunod ka sa uso. Baka sa kakapilit mong magkaroon braces, lalong masira yang ngipin mo. Baka sa kakapilit mong mahalin ka ng taong mahal mo, mas lalong masira ang lahat ng pinagsamahan niyo.

Once you have your braces on, be responsible enough with it. Sundin mo ang mga payo ng dentista mo hindi yung kung ano ang gusto mo yun lang lagi ang masusunod. Learn to listen to people and do the things that you need to do. Bawal is bawal. Bawal ang matitigas. Bawal ang matatamis. Bawal ang masyadong madidikit na pagkain. Naiintindihan mo yung salitang BAWAL? Bawal manloko. Bawal mangaliwa. Bawal manakit ng taong alam mong mahal na mahal ka. Mahiya ka naman. Kung mga simpleng mga bawal nga di mo masunod, ano pa kaya sa pagmamahal?

Brush your teeth gently. Gently ha? Di tulad ng uraurada mong pagiwan sa mga taong hinding hindi ka pinabayaan sa mga oras na kailangan mo sila. Dahil importante ang araw na yan. Oo. Adjustment. Buwan buwan iaadjust ang braces mo. Buwan buwan hinihigpitan. Hindi niluluwagan. Habang tumatagal, humihigpit. Dapat ganyan nag mga relasyon eh, dapat sa bawat buwan at taong lumilipas, lalong humihigpit. Lalong nagiging maayos. Pero wala eh, malandi ka eh. Pero sana kapag nagbraces ka, ilagay mo na sa kalendaryo mo ang appointment mo. Huwag kang magaalala, patient’s chair ang uupuan mo at hindi upuan sa mamahaling resto kaya safe yang bulsa at wallet mo.

Embrace the changes. Habang tumaagal makikita mo ang malaking pagbabago sa ngipin mo. And I know, it would make you feel happier. Magpapantay na and magiging maayos na kung ano man ang mga naging problema. And alam mo kung anong key sa mga pagbabagong yun? Patience. Napakalaking pasensya. Kung kaya mong pagpasensyahan ang hirap at sakit ng pagkakaroon ng braces, kayang kaya mong harapin lahat ng hirap at sakit na dulot ng pagibig. Mahirap, oo. Masakit, sobra. Pero kung patuloy mong ipoprove na kaya mong lampasan lahat ng sakitat hrap na yun, in the end, everything will be worth it. Na sa tuwing titingin k sa salamin, mapapangiti ka na lang ng bongga dahil ang ganda ganda na ng ngipin mo.
