Here is someone older and out of highschool. Missing those 4 parties is not the end of the world because the people you care about and who care about you will still exist to hang out at a later date. I don't know why you missed the parties but people are usually understanding of others not making it to events.

It's also not the end of the world because you have an entire life still ahead of you. You have an entire summer still ahead of you. Go have fun and explore, make connections and most importantly live.

Your world is huge and while the parties often feel huge as well, they aren't going to end anything that can't be rebuilt and redone in the future.

Also in like 4-5 years you might remember there being parties at the start of your summer you missed but you probably won't remember who they were for or you won't even remember that there were parties to begin with unless someone else mentions it.

That's how it is for me at least.

i don't know how to properly but my gratitude into words, but i'm really thankful you took the time to reply. i'm really sad right now because it's graduation next week and im missing most of the senior stuff, and i just feel like im missing out in 'youth' in general (?? idonno, it's silly, but thank you for taking me seriously. you're probably right, it just feels really intense right now. :_) have a great summer too <3
