I’ve been mad as hell about the Hobby Lobby ruling from SCOTUS and wondered what I could do other than bitch on social media about it. Thanks to friends at SCA, there’s a campaign now for angry crafters.

Knitting: For thin yarn, use size 8 needles. For thick, use size 11. Cast on 30 stitches for thin or 20 for thick. Knit 25 rows for thin or 18 for thick. Cast off and bind off, take a picture and mail. ;)

Crochet: Use an I hook, chain 25, then double crochet across for six rows. Your mileage may vary based on the weight of your yarn.

Campaign runs from July 2 - July 18!

FINALLY it is 100% finished!! unfortunately it just became too hot for me to wear it anywhere :(

BUT I AM SO PROUD OF IT OH MY GOD :’) it’s the first thing i’ve knit that i would actually wear out of the house and i’m so happy that it’s finished and i didn’t mess it up entirely somewhere along the way! it’s just great and i love it. i like the buttons especially they’re super pretty <3

Avery by Melissa LaBarre. I started knitting this yesterday afternoon. University has started back again, so I’m not sure how much time I’ll have to work on it. Nevertheless, the pattern has been a lot of fun. It’s exciting to see the beginnings of diamonds and triangles appear as each row is completed.
