Rolling Embers

Rolling Embers is technically NOT part of the Green Mile as it is not located in New Buffalo township. It is located on sovereign land owned by Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians. It was, however, the first dispensary open in SW Michigan and the first legal dispensary I ever visited.

In the early days the place was SLAMMING busy so its hard to rate the customer service. It was never bad, just nothing special. The prices were and still are very high. They don't buy from the same sources as the other stores, they buy from smaller independent growers. Its quality for sure. They also didn't at the time sell much in the way of ounces. Everything was small. I haven't been a shopper there in quite a while.

This blog is to document my quest and journey to tour every Marijuana Dispensary in SW Michigan's New Buffalo Township. 30 (or more) shops have opened within 3 years time in New Buffalo.

I had the idea about a year ago to try and visit them all to experience what they had to offer. I judge them based on first time discount, wait time, store layout, store vibe, knowledge of budtender, price, deals, and most of all the quality of the product.

First I am going to post where I have been and individually chat about my experience. Then I plan to post as I visit in the future and talk about the legal marijuana industry in SW Michigan.

A large number of these stores are located on the corridor of Highway 12 between the Indiana state line and the city limits of New Buffalo. Someone called it The Green Mile and I thought that was hilarious
