Hey ther, I'm Peyton, 22, Healer witch, hacker and delinquent extraordinaire. I'm on the run from my...
[ Alright, so this blog has been revamped, and one of the muses has changed. Benny is still pretty much the same, but my female muse is new.
If you want to resume the thread we had, I'm up for it, otherwise, I understand. ]
I'd Remember but I forgot
"Real food please." Eden replied with a smile. "I….don’t know what I want though." She wasn’t sure what she liked or didn’t anymore. All she knew was that she was hungry and wanted to eat.
Benny made a thinking noise as he thought of what he could prepare for her. He decided for pancakes, which she usually liked. "That's okay. I mean, it's understandable," he replied. "I'm gonna go for something you liked, see if your tastes are still the same, yes?" he asked, smiling.
Teresa listened carefully to his request, nodding as soon as he finished his sentence. “I’ll be sure to do that, Sir. I… I might need your name, though.” She murmured, quite embarrassed at her own words. Was she even allowed to ask such a question to one of her teachers? “If you don’t mind, that is.” The dark haired siren let out a small, polite chuckle when he told her about his job. “You yell for them to run faster? That’s curious. And I’m sure you’re just being humble - surely an instructor has to be naturally brilliant.”
"Oh, you're right, where are my manners. I'm Mr. Benny Gregson," Benny introduced himself, smiling politely. "And you're...?" he asked, curious. She was new, that much he knew, but he guessed the more students he knew, the less the school felt alien to him, since it still did most of the time. Beacon Hills was only beginning to feel like home, he wasn't there yet. "Well, I train them for lacrosse, which is a nice sport. You should come see a match, it's a good way to make new friends," he suggested, nodding. "The main Coach is another teacher, I just assist him, though he leaves most of the hard work to me."

"Diplomatic is a good word for it," She nodded, smiling slightly and wondering if this man really know what he was getting himself in for. He must have faced supernatural creatures to call himself a hunter, but what had he done to obtain the title? Had he just wished to express interest in the hunters because of the new threat or was he experienced? She had so many questions, but she knew that now was not the right time to ask them, especially considering the nagging feeling at the back of her mind that something about this situation was wrong, like a strange version of de ja vu except she didn’t recognise anything.
"I’ve been doing this since I was a child." She nodded finitely, hoping that her tone would tell him not to pro her about her start in the hunting business. Hunter or not, she was not going to allow someone in that quickly.
Megan smiled as she watched the two men interact, talking over a few points and Benny told Chris everything he had told Megan, and she smiled at the new man to put him at ease, well aware that Chris can be intimidating at times. “Well I don’t think we’re quite ready to trust you yet, you’ll understand of course considering the state of this town.” Chris had a hint of humor in his voice for barely a second, “And if you do intend to join us in our.. profession..” His eyes wandered to Megan for a second and in turn, her eyes darted back to Benny, “You must realise that we’re not like other hunters, we don’t slaughter the innocent, we protect those who cannot protect themselves.
"Diplomatic sounds good, smooth, without bloodshed," Benny admitted with a nod. "I like diplomatic," he added, just to make sure she knew he was with her on the matter. He wondered for the hundreth time if he was even believable as a hunter. He was relying solely on his military background and the brief encounters he'd had with other hunters, whom had mostly tried to kill him on sight. "A child?" Benny asked, surprised. Sure, during the three days of their lockdown, she'd mentioned something, but she hadn't gone into details, and he knew he wasn't going to get them now either. "That must have been tough." After he'd told his (partially) made-up story to Chris, he could tell that the man wasn't openly hostile, which was good news. "I don't ask for your trust, I know that's a long way down the road," he admitted, nodding. "I just-- I was basically pushed into this, and everything is still sort of new to me. All I ask for is a bit of advice, guidance, you may call it," he continued, his voice firm but open. When Chris stated how they did thing, Benny felt a relieved smile rise to his lips and he did nothing to stop it. "I'm okay with that. Protecting the innocents from threats beyond their knowledge was exactly why I became a SEAL," he explained, chuckling. "I guess the players have changed, but the game is still basically the same."
I'd Remember but I forgot
Eden nodded, Ben’s smile infectious. “Yes, I did.” She announced. Her stomach then decided to make announcement as well and she blushed before holding her stomach to quiet it. “I guess…we should think about lunch.” She told him.
When Benny heard her stomach mumble, he realized how long the film had actually been. "That's a good idea. D'you want actual food, or just the blood?" he asked, not really sure of what she would prefer.
"No matter how much you try, people are always going to let you down."
"I’m starting to think that’s true."
"It’s not a bad thought, you know," she shrugged. "Do you really think so? For real? Because I wouldn’t complain, at all. And why does he terrifies you? He is a sweetheart, deep inside. It’s just that a lot has happened to him since the fire killed his family."
"Trust me, I’m the lucky one. Aw, Toy Story? Never thought you were into Disney movies."
"I do, for real," Lea confirmed with a decisive nod. "You two would be cute as peaches. Trust me, I’ve got this witchy sixth sense for matchmaking," she added, grinning. "I don’t know, it’s just his general attitude, he seems rather… rough. Not that I mind that, but the werewolf thing kinda still puts me on edge," she admitted.
"Yeah, well, a girl’s gotta have a guilty pleasure or two, right? And they can’t all be illegal."
Teresa still couldn’t believe she had met such a nice, welcoming instructor - what a lucky first day. ”Alright, I’ll keep that in mind. Once again, I’m truly grateful for this tour. Is there any way I can repay you for your kindness?” She asked, a tiny, shy grin forming on her lips. Her smile brightened when he confessed that he was new around as well. “That’s reassuring. How is it like - teaching teenagers and helping them with their life choices?”
When she voiced her thankfulness, Benny smiled politely, really not used to students being that nice. Most of them where either indifferent, bored or simply avoided him, he guessed for his reputation as a former military. "Nah, don't worry. But if anyone asks, just tell them I'm the best coach this school as ever seen," he replied with a playful grin. "Well, it's-- my job mostly consists of yelling at them to run faster, but it does feel nice to contribute to education," he admitted. "It's funny, because back in high school, I wasn't exactly the good student."

"If they don’t have murderous intentions then we introduce ourselves, let them know that we know what they are and that we can be of service if they should need us, and then leave them be." She nodded, "I mean, It’s a little more complicated than just a chat but I’ll let Chris explain all the details to you, he’s better at this stuff tan me." Although she was still unsure what this man really was, she saw no harm in revealing that they were friendly to supernaturals around here as long as they stayed in check. She simply nodded at the question about the werewolves, not wanting to implicate anyone or get anyone into any trouble with another supernatural. Revealing alliances to someone so quickly could be a big mistake, and although she was verging on the side of believing him, there was still something inside of her tat told her that this man was not human.
"Hm? Oh it’s okay, I was only doing lab work it’s no biggie." She spoke, smiling over at him and choosing not to acknowledge the small compliment for now. Yes she was a nice person and she knew it, but again she didn’t want to show weakness until her Uncle had verified everything.
They walked for a few minutes before they reached the spot where Chris had arranged to meet them. She was glad that he had not bought Allison along with him. she felt bad enough about bringing a potential threat to him let alone her baby cousin. “Hey,” She smiled at her Uncle, “This is…Actually, I’m sorry I don’t think I got your name?” She spoke, turning to look at the blue eyed man as confusion washed over her brain. She was sure that she had known his name, that she had asked or he had told her, and yet she couldn’t remember a part of the conversation when either of them had occurred.”
"That sounds so very... diplomatic," Benny considered, surprised at how clearly she was explaining their method. "Alright, I can wait, though thanks for letting me in on this," he said, offering a little smile. "Surprisingly enough there's some stuff on the internet about this... job, but I trust people, not screens," he added, scratching the back of his neck. "So... how long have you been doing this?" he asked, then realized that was probably too direct. "If you're comfortable talking about it, of course." He nodded when she said his interruption wasn't a problem, and avoided commenting further on it. After a few minutes walk, Benny caught the distinctive sound of another heartbeat approaching; he'd been keeping his senses alert, just in case she was walking him into a trap with more than just Chris waiting. But apparently, he was the only one there. "Oh, sorry, you're right. I'm Benedict," he said, looking at her first, then at Chris. "Benny's enough. You must be Chris."
Tired of Running - thegregsonfugitives
As her body tried to regain control of itself, Jessica was left with dealing with her mind and emotions. Both were jumbled up and hard to pin down. Her mind was worrying about her pursers and how far she had gotten away from them before running out onto this road. How long would it take for them to find her here? The fact that she was in no shape to defend herself or run away only made her panic and worry more.
She was too much into her thoughts to notice the driver closing the distance between them. So when she felt him place something on her shoulders, she jumped slighter and—finally tearing her eyes away from the car—stared wide eyed at the man, unsure of what to make of him. He looked like a nice guy that she genuinely trying to help her but she knew from experience that looks could be deceiving. It wasn’t like the people who were after her had giant signs or anything. They looked like normal people. Normal people with guns. How did she know that this man wasn’t one of them? That by trusting him, she would be walking right into a trap?
"No, no hospital. I’m fine." She answered breathlessly, knowing that it was a lie. She was dirty, exhausted, and no where near fine. But what else could she do? She couldn’t just get into this man’s car and hope for the best. Her body seem to make the decision of her next move for her by choosing to shut down.
Benny saw her jump slightly when he placed the jacket on her shoulders and he took a step back, holding his hands up to show her he meant no harm. Still, he could tell she was lost in her own thoughts, which wasn't unusual for shock victims. He watched as she clearly evaluated him and his words, probably trying to figure out if he was some sort of serial killer or psycho, but he figured there wasn't much in his appearance that could reassure her. Sure, he was dressed nicely enough and his hair had a military cut, but that counted for very little. When she refused to go to an hospital, he frowned, surprised by her assertion that she was fine. What happened next proved that she wasn't, in fact, fine. Benny caught her as her legs gave in and he realized she'd passed out. He pulled her in his arms and slowly walked her over to the car. He placed her on the backseat so she could lie down, but as he was returning to the driver seat, he heard something in the distance. His vampire hearing could barely pick it up, so it must have been at least a couple of miles away, in the direction the girl had come from. That gave him a gut feeling that behind the girl's refusal to go to the hospital, there could have been something more, something serious. He got into his car and started off towards his house.
I'd Remember but I forgot
"Ok." Eden wasn’t sure what that meant. Was there some kind of difference? She was sure and couldn’t recall.
She quietly watched the movie, however, engrossed in the story and the characters for a time. She can’t be sure, with nothing to compare, but this probably isn’t the best acting. But she liked it. She did giggle now and then at the things she thought were silly, even though they probably weren’t suppose to be, and when the movie was over she turned to Ben with a smile. “That was good. I liked it.”
Benny was relieved that she was so captivated by the movie, which he figured gave her a momentary distraction from her situation. He smiled when she giggled, the sight unusual but welcome. He was surprised when she declared that she'd liked the movie, though. "You did?" he asked, smiling.
+3 are on your tracks
Erica rolled her eyes at his comment, choosing to ignore it in order not to snap at him and possibly break his neck. Deep down, however, she felt like smiling. It wasn’t usual for others to acknowledge her strength and… well, she had to admit that maybe, if he wasn’t such an idiot, she’d be interested in him, too. Maybe.
She was about to storm off, annoyed out of her mind for losing the stupid bet, when she heard his cocky tone teasing her for leaving. Bastard. “…” She took one long, deep breath before turning around and walking towards him. “Fine. You have five minutes to keep me interested. Go.”
Benny just waited for her response, yet a vocal one never came; however, her stance told him once again she would have been glad to get her hands around his neck. He wondered how strong she actually was, and if maybe this game he was playing could become dangerous. Still, he was too caught up in it now to let it go.
"Oh, five minutes?" he asked, arching an eyebrow. "Okay, then," he said, shrugging. "How about we find a place where we can actually talk, without all these people around?" he proposed, expression open but smile still in place. He wasn't sure if he wanted to confront her on her true nature yet, but it seemed like a good moment to. Just not in a bar full of people. And yet, he knew his proposal could be interpreted as something different. Something he was mildly surprised to find himself not opposed to. "So?"
I'd Remember but I forgot
Eden giggled a little at Ben’s enthusiasm. She was sort of happy that he was honest and didn’t lie to her about liking it. At least, if she couldn’t remember, she could try to make preference choices on her own. “Then lets watch it.” She said with a smile.
"I almost can't believe you said that," Benny replied to her words, unbelieving. He chuckled and shook his head, trying to keep his focus on the bright side: she wasn't physically hurt, and this gave them a chance to connect on a new level, or at least he hoped. He had to see that way, otherwise the concept that his Eden, his regular Eden, could be lost... it would crush him. He put on the DVD and went to sit next to her, but left a comfortable distance, to make sure she was okay with it. "You're allowed to laugh at the special effects, it was the '70s," he admitted, grinning softly.
Teresa just decided to keep on following the assistant coach, her steps as quiet as her presence. As she walked, she examined every single aspect of the school she was going to study in from now on. It was so big and crowded and yet strangely comforting. She would love being a part of the student community - she just knew it. When her guide turned around, she walked towards him, a soft grin playing on her rosy lips. “Thank you. For showing me around.”
Benny returned her smile and accepted her thanks with a slow nod. "No trouble at all. My job is pretty much done until practice, and that's after classes, so if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask," he replied, clicking the pen to close it and then put it in his pocket. "To be honest, I'm somewhat new too. I've only started working here a month ago," he admitted, thinking that maybe that could make her feel more at ease. He was curious to figure out what she were, since her scent was completely new, but he was hesitant to hint at it. She seemed like a nice girl, and he didn't want to disrupt her first day there.
I'd Remember but I forgot
Eden looked at the cover and shook her head. “No, not really.” She didn’t remember this movie or anything about it. But she was willing to give it a try. “We can watch it though.”
Benny made a thinking noise as he looked at the cover again, then dove into the DVD pile again. "Nah, I'm not even sure if it's actually funny-- oh, here it is," he said as he straightened up, holding a copy of the first Star Trek movie. "I'm going to lie blatantly and say you used to love it," he said, smiling. "The truth is I never got you to watch it."
Getting to know you - anotherargent
Megan nodded as he spoke. “Of course, we need to talk to them and see what their intentions are. Although I will admit that’s the same experience I’ve had with them. Hopefully we can come up with some kind of deal to get them to talk to us and we can make sure that they don’t have murderous intentions for the whole town.” She joked, but she knew it was a definite possibility. If there was one thing she knew about vampires it was that they were unpredictable unless you started contact, although she really knew nothing about vampires at all.
"Hopefully these vampires won’t be like the ones that you have come across. I have a firm belief that not all supernatural beings live up to the awful expectations that have been set up for them. You only have to look around Beacon Hills to see the proof of that." She wondered if she had said too much, if he knew about the creatures that were already here but she figured that if he knew about vampires and he really had been watching her, he probably already had a good idea of what this town was already dealing with.
Nodding, she walked him over to her car and climbed in, waiting for him to buckle his seatbelt before she pulled out of her parking spot. “Shoulda bought a to go cup.” She muttered under her breath as she realised that she never got to finish the coffee she had started and had been enjoying, although there were far more important things in hand than a misplaced latte.
When they reached the preserve, Megan climbed from her car and sent a quick text to Chris to let him know they were here, smiling as he sent her the co-ordinates of where he was so they could find him using her phone. Grabbing her bag from the back seat, but tucking the laptop under the seat itself, she headed toward the pin on the map on her phone, smiling over at him a little as he followed her.
"And if they don't have murderous intentions?" Benny asked curiously. "I mean, I am aware that the probability of that being the case is slim, but what if they're harmless? Do we just let them go?" he asked, pretending to be concerned about the notion. The role was starting to feel natural, and he figured all those years of training and undercover missions were useful. At her mention of the other beings in Beacon Hills, he had a chance to prove that his intentions weren't violent. "Yeah, I've noticed the werewolves," he admitted, nodding slowly. "And I've noticed that your family seems... friendly with them," he commented, eyeing her with curiosity once again. He had to admit that after their three days together, he'd kept an eye on the Argents and discovered they were a little more than friendly with the wolves. Megan's cousin appeared to be dating one. That gave him hope. Still, he wasn't sure if they considered werewolves and vampires on the same level, so he had to keep the show going. When she spoke about the coffee, he offered an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry I interrupted you, I just-- I'm kinda lost in this and you seem like a nice person," he admitted candidly, feeling like it wasn't really a lie. Once they'd reached their destination, he got out of the car and started walking alongside her, keeping silent. The temptation to say something, or to reach out was surprisingly strong, but he managed to keep it under control.
We мαde ιт, вroтнer. I cαɴ'т вelιeve ιт. —————————————————————————— ——————————————————————————————————— Tнαɴĸѕ ғer ɴoт ɢιvιɴ' υp oɴ мe.
So I’ve had this blog for about 10 months now. No, that’s a lie. I made the blog two months before that. But it sat quiet and unfinished and inactive because I had never played a canon character before. Only OC’s. And frankly, I was motherfucking terrified. I had no idea how to capture and portray a character that I had not created. So I just… didn’t— for nearly three months. But with the encouragement of my friends, I finally got my ass in gear, and got started here. And lemme tell you, I have never looked back. The very first day I was active, I was greeted by scarredbyxhellfire and thecajunthirst. And warmly welcomed.That seriously made all the difference. And now it’s been ten months, and I’m at a follower number I never expected. I just wanted to play with this fanged teddy bear, and enjoy myself. But I was welcomed so quickly and easily into the fandom, and now I have these amazing new friends, and absolutely amazing partners, and out-fucking-standing followers. Seriously,you guys are wonderful in the utmost. And I am deeply grateful for all your support, and kind words, and love, and patience, and loyalty. I have no idea where I’d be without all of you, and without Benny. Thank you , thank you, T h a n k Y o u . To those I don’t follow back, or to those who aren’t on these lists, don’t think I am any less gracious for you. As much as I would like to follow all of you back, and interact with all of you, I’d rather like to say slightly sane. haha. But you guys are still fucking awesome. And again. Thank you. As follows, it is my friends whom I’ve had, or made here (Or people of honorable note). My partners, who I’m blessed with. And everyone else who makes my dash a wonderful place. {Another note: a lot of you I follow on multiple blogs. I’ll only list your ‘main’ one here, to save the space; even tho I probably love all your chracters. }
