Danny and Mac, Shetland Sheepdogs
Both Mac and Danny get a bath and a good de-shedding brush out. These guys shed a ton! As for trimming, they only get neat feet and a bit of light trimming on their feathering.

Penny, Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier
Today’s PSA is about animal neglect!!!
This is Penny. She came in for her very first grooming appointment today. She’s a year old. She came in fully pelted and reeked of cigarette smoke and was fearful of every single noise and movement.
We preshaved her in a #7F and bathed her in anti-itch shampoo and conditioner to try to remedy the damage the matting did to her skin. We could not dry her, she freaked out when we turned the dryer on.
Please don’t be like Penny’s owner. Work on desensitization to noise and movement, brush them regularly. Don’t wait until they’re a year old and matted to get them groomed, a good breeder will have introduced them to the process, it’s your responsibility to continue it. And PLEASE stop smoking around your animals!!!!!

Vivian, American Cocker Spaniel
Vivian gets an #A SOC on her legs, #E SOC chest and belly, #1 SOC body, #10 behind ears where it mats, and the top of her head is left long. Her owners like to put her hair up into a bun but I think it looks better as an emo fringe X3

Penny, Bull Type mix
First post is a PSA about pet weight lol
This is Penny, a bull type mix. She has a very deep chest and prominent tuck up which can give the illusion of a healthy weight. When palpating, it’s extremely clear she is actually overweight. Ribs should be felt clearly through the skin without being visible (with exceptions for some breeds such as sighthounds).
Dogs do not distribute extra weight well and it’s extremely hard on their joints. Keeping your pet at a healthy weight is very important! It improves their quality of life and extends their lifespan. Regular physical exercise and controlled food are key to keeping a healthy weight :3
Miss Penny gets a bath, brush out, and teeth brushing!
