Whumpee using magical powers to constantly keep an illusion going that hides their scars/still healing injuries. Nobody knows they're there.

Until Whumpee gets injured again and they can't keep the illusion up. Suddenly, all their scars are revealed.

Whumper tells them to run until their legs give out and they have to do it.

Whumper tells them to jump in a freezing lake and they're already in before Whumper can finish, shuddering and sobbing as they try to resist against their own flesh

Whumper getting tired of whumpee's sobs and telling them to shut up. they cant make noise, so their chest heaves and their mouth opens and closes but nothing comes out.

darlings I will never be able to kill when it comes to kaeys character / backstory / lore, even if it doesn't make sense or isn't always visible / relevant

trans man discovering there are other options, and that "no thanks" is a valid option when it comes to gender

wings !! or rather a lack thereof. because caged bird / bird with clipped wings will ALWAYS be a vibe. but also, I just feel like kaeys choice in removing his wings is such a defining moment of his character ? it shows the lengths he has gone to preserve himself, while also showcasing his own self-sacrificing tendencies. there's something just so tragic, but also powerful, about a character that chooses to physically remove from themself what is being used against them. even at their own expense. chewing off your own leg to escape the bear trap, etc etc

shadow self / the shadow curse / shadow abilities / reality warping / etc etc etc because it all feels so superfluous but its a deep cut reference to kaeys original, now long forgotten, lore. I love the concept, I love all the iterations - I've never been able to apply it to a character in a way I was satisfied until kaey. it feels purely self serving, which is why I've kinda moved away from including it, but its also something I come back to again and again.

the prosthetic, now prosthetics and other enhancements. because cyberpunk will always be an inspiration for kaey ♡ and also it adds so much whump and experiment potential.

no matter what happens. no matter what changes. no matter how much he grows. I love him, and I always return to these things. hes a labor of love, over 10 years of development and obsessing and worrying. its only recently I've been able to embrace his comfort character status, and that I do what I want with him because he's my blorbo. ♡

thinking of adding another lore layer to the fic inspired by vampires / witches and potentially a new whumper character + dynamic

why ? because I can lmaoo and also because I can't keep this world and lore consistent to save my life. you could put a gun to my head and demand I set one piece of worldbuilding in stone, no taksies backsies, and I would be dead. so yeah.

idk I'll think about it. I might also end up making a sideblog just for fic lore and worldbuilding. as a sort of depository in which everything relevant is kept, but again idk.

also ssssssh im still trying to find a way to weasel kaeys shadow lore into the fic. im always trying to find ways to give my boi the shadow curse he deserves
