i find it so funny (and sad) that people think native Americans still live in tipis. Like imagine if we reversed it and everyone thought that we (as in white people) still live in homemade log homes built on prairies and go mining for gold every day. well that sounds nice but did you actually comfort them and find a coping mechanism that actually works better for them or did you just manage to gaslight them into thinking that what they're doing is going to turn them into a predator one day and that they're just as bad as their abuser? do you actually know anything about mental health or do you just assume stuff and act like its the truth because it makes sense in your brain? do you actually know what you're talking about or do you think a coping mechanism works the same for everyone in the whole world? do you know how MOST (not all) victims cope with their trauma or do you assume a coping mechanism is automatically unhealthy for everyone in the world because the kind of stuff it may contain PERSONALLY makes YOU uncomfortable and assume a coping mechanism is healthy just because you PERSONALLY don't find the stuff it has "icky". do you really care about that person or do you just want everyone to be the way you want them to be without anything you PERSONALLY may find "icky"? do you have any proof that darkshipping is unhealthy or do you assume that people who like darkfiction don't have critical thinking skills and morals?

obviously this kinda stuff does not work the same for everyone and i am fully aware of that. but are you aware of that too?

Check what you sent over and over to make sure you didn’t say a slur instead of “hello how are you”

Fear that someone will find you thinking not-leftist-enough thoughts and will call you out and ruin you

Feel you have to make your intentions clear and over-explain your actions

Find yourself consistently resisting the urge to engage in reassurance-seeking WRT being a good enough ally to marginalized people

Stay up late endlessly debating political ethics in your head

Have a set of actions that you take after discovering you made a morally wrong decision so that you can atone, which you rely on for reassurance that you are not a bad person

Would rather not make a decision at all than make a decision that is the lesser of two evils, but is not morally pure

then I am gently, but firmly, requesting that you look into moral scrupulosity OCD.
