the voices and monsters prowl at night clawing and rattling in my ribcage ripping through the thing in the way devoted to consume the space in my head with their curses and promises vowing that my antidote is tethered to you but the thing in my chest would've known the poison was always you

i'm a stranger in the ocean the moon, the stars, the seas they watch as i drift by anchorless and loathed to be

my north star hasn't risen yet how much longer will she be? the moon, the stars, the seas they don't know how to answer me

there goes another moment of simple minded heresy she writes another sonnet of ill-defined legacies when will it be over the fool headed fantasies she thinks it's not above her to surrender to insanity ༄.°

does the sky turn blue because it misses you do the stars come around from the light of you do the tides churn through under siege by you under siege by you, my heart beats too ༄.°

the impersonator lives a dreary life a hollow vessel born from strife she feels no pain, she feels no love some might say it’s a gift from above

she drifts along the cobbled stones and searches for a soul to spare she’ll take your tears to make her own those wretched things that mortals bear

a brief escape from rhythmic confines she’ll take your face for a moment defined so take the relief and have your fill she can’t feel it, so bear no guilt

though at times she yearns to feel whether the warmth, whether the pain a reminder that her soul is real and her existence wasn’t made in vain ༄.°
