A reading of horror for this year's "All Hallow's Read." Dusk is a piece of flash fiction (short-short). More literary tidbits can be found at galfordchris.com.
My next D&D character, for a pirate campaign. Tiefling Rogue. Essentially, embracing my true self.
Things to take away from this: “Pantser rather than Plotter.”

Message of the day.
We’re only as normal as the stories we tell ourselves.

birdartpoetry asked: Mister Gaiman, you’re kickass. I was just wondering, what do you think is the best way to seduce a writer? I figured your answer would be pretty spectacular.
In my experience, writers tend to be really good at the inside of their own heads and imaginary people, and a lot less good at the stuff going on outside, which means that quite often if you flirt with us we will completely fail to notice, leaving everybody involved slightly uncomfortable and more than slightly unlaid.
So I would suggest that any attempted seduction of a writer would probably go a great deal easier for all parties if you sent them a cheerful note saying “YOU ARE INVITED TO A SEDUCTION: Please come to dinner on Friday Night. Wear the kind of clothes you would like to be seduced in.”
And alcohol may help, too. Or kissing. Many writers figure out that they’re being seduced or flirted with if someone is actually kissing them.
…because this seems to have come around again, here is the original.
I did not do any of these things. I don’t think you should believe Neil Gaiman.
I’m pretty sure she kissed me, through a bridal veil, before being carried out onto the stage. There was a kiss there somewhere.
But to be honest, I always thought I seduced her. Which I did mostly by saying “Hello, I am in love with you and I am not going away.”
These two are at least a little perfect.
And also that advice, though.

I love good art, and this art features a favorite gaming character: Gilmore.
He is a special snowflake and I ship him shamelessly with happiness.
Which, coincidentally, I should probably get around to shipping some of my own characters with.

An interesting assessment for D&D characters--but now, I’d like to twist it. If you could ask any of these questions of any characters I’ve written, in regards to whom would it be? Ask, and I shall surely answer.
People have started putting these up, so here is the largest file of it I have. Some of the smaller versions people are sharing lose detail.
Soon.

Trevor Noah made these comments hours before the shooting in Dallas, but in light of the events, it has become even more relevant.
As you can see, there are many explosive ways to have celebrated your Fourth of July.
