[Text] Oh are you now? This will be interesting. Should I start dinner for two? (You should have known this, Natasha)
[TxT] Fine. Just don't get any more barings in the food. *It has to go somewhere other than to her cat, Louise.*

[Text] I was minding my own business when I found it in between my knuckles
[TxT] Are you turning into a baring baring tree? *She has puns now, look at this-*
[Text] Eh?
[TxT] Never mind. *Her genius is wasted on you, Louise.* [TxT] Layout the sheets for me I'll spend the night.

Do you think I'm too much like my brother?
*Looks her up and down.*
-Yes. But at least he did not infect you with a Polish-Fetish. *Wicking away the ash from her cigarette- /Natalia/.*
In all seriousness, no Louise. You are your own person. What brings this up?
We have a great saying in German when people are saying or doing something stupid:
“Herr, wirf Hirn vom Himmel!”
“Lord, throw some brains from the heavens.“
fave follow-up: “oder Steine, Hauptsache er trifft.” - “or stones as long as he hits the mark”
Germans don’t fuck about.

I want to thank all the people who have rped with me for being patient and kind when I take too long or when I drop threads because I lost focus. Thank you.

“I doubt it,” also seeing straight through his strategy, but he couldn’t be blamed. She will admit to making things difficult, but there’s a lot she’ll admit to. “Vanya, I have upset someone?” a brow rising, “that is nothing new. I am always ‘upsetting’ someone. Who is it today? What horrible have I said or done? The list is so long,” also laying it on very thick. Perhaps the other already knew how difficult it would be and opted for Ivan to take care of it thinking he could bypass the act. How little did they know… “I prefer to do this on my own,” beckoning him away, she was rolling up her sleeves and dousing the canvas pallets in the kerosene. -Were those paintings?
“I know, I know….” Ivan rung his hands together slightly uncomfortably as he took a few steps away, not wanting to be more of a nuisance than he had to be. It was hard to not be curious about what exactly she was burning and without meaning to, he found himself leaning a bit, peering at the canvas bundles.
“Ludwig complained that you were too cynical and irresponsible for your position. I told him you were just cynical normally and he protested.” He paused, arms crossed over his chest as he continued to eye Natalia’s bundles. “He… seemed to think I could somehow change your behavior by bringing it up to you. Foolish of him, I am thinking.” Foolish of you for hitting his desk, Natasha. Aim higher. It might knock him down a peg or two.
Something seemed a little strange to him about the bundles. Was that color on them? Paintings, perhaps? Why would she need to burn paintings? Maybe they really weren’t paintings, but– “Natasha, if… I may ask, what are you disposing of there?” Ivan shifted his weight uneasily back and forth between both feet. Hopefully, whatever she had there wasn’t really important, but something nagged at the back of his head that he couldn’t put his finger on.
Without meaning to? Whether he meant it or not, Natasha would say it was debatable. Either way, she wasn’t stopping him. It did certainly confirm, they were paintings.
“Foolish of him to have an opinion. Does he intend to try to replace me? We do all know how that went,” as she struck a match. Had Ivan said what he was thinking allowed, she probably would have agreed and invited him in for tea. What a pity.
“Some paintings I did this month. I am behind,” rather flatly as the flames quickly roared to life, brought on by the kerosene and paint thinner. She was setting the can aside, casually moving on from the particularly bizarre display of self destruction. Just another afternoon.
“What else did he say to you? I’m actually curious.”
THE FERN FLOWER
The fern flower is a mythical blossom in European folklore. It is told that ferns grow ethereal beautiful blossoms only at summer solstice midnight. It’s dangerous and difficult to behold or even obtain this flower, because evil spirits gather around the plant at night and only a magical ritual can hold them off. If one succeeds to get a blossom, it is carried as a strong talisman that shows the way to secret treasures and gives knowledge to natures innermost secrets. The blossom also makes the wearer understand the language of animals, read minds and foretell death. My drawing is inspired by this ancient legend.
today my anthro professor said something kindof really beautiful:
“you all have a little bit of ‘I want to save the world’ in you, that’s why you’re here, in college. I want you to know that it’s okay if you only save one person, and it’s okay if that person is you”
I feel like a few people I know could stand to read this.
