Esti took a breath “I spent alot of my time in Morocco, the wolves out there live in the more desert areas, but you can go for miles without running into another one…I think I needed the solitude”

Evie sighed and looked down to Esti and looked into her eyes. “I missed you Esti..” she whispered softly. “I thought I would never see you again.”

Esti nodded and locked her body against Evie’s just enjoying in her scent and warmth “Well, I guess I’m just full of surprises?” she wondered.

Evie sighe dsoftly when she changed back and fully sat down and pulled Esti against her and kissed into her hair, gently stroking her fingers through her soft hair. “I’m so sorry..”

Esti gripped the Hunters shirt and smiled weakly, her eyes closed as she rested against her, listening to the womans calm heartbeat, sturdy as a rock. “Don’t be, you’re not the one who bit me.”

Evie closed her eyes and pulled the wolf closer to her nuzzling against its fur and continue to slowly pet the wolf. “You poor thing..” she whispered softly. “I know you didn’t ask for this..”

The wolf made a low noise of appreciation, the fur eventually melting away and leaving Esti in her human form against Evie, not even caring her had no clothing. “There’s probably alot we haven’t asked for...”

Evie paused and took a step back when Esti changed. It took her a moment,but she knelt down and gently ran her fingers through the wolf’s fur. “Oh dear..” she said quietly with a soft sigh. “Of course I would accept you..”

Esti made an almost pathetic whine, her ears were almost a little too big for her and her head, since she was so small framed. The wolf leaned into Evie, her tail weakly wagging, yet still on edge- if anything she probably would have welcomed a silver knife or bullet to the head as an act of kindness from the woman she loved.

Evie sighed. “My sister is a witch. And her daughter was bitten by a werewolf when she was a child. I was the only person in my family who wasn’t ‘gifted’.” She sighed again and was silent for a moment before she spoke again. “I just want you to stay with me..”

Esti took in her words, before taking a shaky breath “Then you have to accept me..” she whispered, giving into her feelings and angers, turning into a particularly tiny and thin silver wolf, ones that other wolves would have laughed at- a runt. The timid bag of fur carefully inched over, like a cat that was about to jump at any loud noise.

“They will stay away from you. I can arrange them not to bother you Esti.” She said softly. “I can teach you how to control it so you only change once a month. I help my niece do that when she was a little girl before we all separated. I can make it hurt less for you when you change. “That’s not what I said...” The woman said, her voice barely above a whisper, she then sighed out “I have tried doing that, but I get worked up and then I just change, I’m trying so hard not to do so now” she admitted, showing Evie her hand and the fact that her nails were claw like. “Your niece?” she then then looked to her hands and clenched her fists, the claws digging into her skin “What if I’m beyond help, Evie?”

No one does.” She whispered softly and closed her eyes trying to settle the raise of her heart beat ringing in her head. “I didn’t say I would help cure you, everyone knows there is no cure. But let me help you with your suffering.” She sighed and shook her head. “I’m not keeping you prisoner here. You can go if you please.. just know if you decide to go. I will never bother you again. And no harm will come to you. You have my word.”

I break and bend rules my own way because I own this damn company.” Evie snapped. “My own sister is a witch, and I let her live a safe life. Any hunter gets near her and they suffer immediately termination. Even if she hates my guts and probably doesn’t remember me.” She looked at Esti with sad eyes. “I will do many things.. but I will not kill you. But I will help you.. if you let me.” She whispered, leaning against her desk. “Esti I still love you..nothing of that has changed.”

“Then I suppose we both really have changed...” Esti said softly, raising her eyebrows at the thought, yet she couldn’t really believe it, she and Evie had been so ruthless in the past. “You can’t help me, we looked at cures for being a werewolf for years, it’s probably the cruelest irony that I became one.” she sighed, staying by the door. “Nothings changed for me in that respect, it just doesn’t look good for the leader of the order.”

But… when I said I wouldn’t get you I meant it. I don’t care if you’re a witch or a wolf or human. Esti..” Evie sighed and ran her fingers through her own hair. “We all have our secrets Esti. I’ve hidden plenty from this company. But now I understand why you’re so… timid with me now.”
