Zelda reached back and grasped onto Missy once Evie had stepped in. “Darling you need to go.” She whispered to Missy. Evie lit herself a cigarette and looked at River quite disappointed. “I gave you an order River. And I’m getting real fucking tired of waiting.” She said raising a perfect brow. “Finish your contract…now.” She said almost warning her.

Missy shook her head “I’m not going to leave you both…” She hissed at her, gripping Zelda’s arm. River shook slightly but tried to stand tall, turning her gun on Zelda with the pressure from Evie “You don’t need to be here, Evie…When have I ever let you down?” she asked “I’ve always delivered” she whispered, her hand shaking, Missy giving a noise as she watched River try not to lose it “Look, neither of you are perfect” Missy whispered to Zelda “But Clearwater will kill all three of us, we need to work together on this” The banshee said carefully barely audible and only for the witch.

“You disappointed me when you let this one get away, and it took you this long to finally catch up to her and now you hesitate.” Evie came up to River. “Is there something you’re not telling me? Something you’re hiding from me?” Evie whispered quietly. “Because I’m getting reallly really really tired of my hunters...failing me. Would you like to end up like the Carter’s?” Zelda swallowed thickly. “How do you know if we can get out of here? She probably has her goons completely surrounding us.” Zelda said hitching her breath. Evie watched River’s hand shake. With a disappointing sigh She rolled her eyes and with a blink of an eye, pulled out her gun and with no hesitation fired off three rounds. Zelda’s tight grip on Missy loosened. And Zelda collapsed onto the ground. Evie our away her gun and quickly gripped River’s chin. “Bag the body, and bring her back so we can dispose of it. Or do you want me to put a bullet in your head as well?” She hissed.

“You’ll have to kill me before I ever let you take her from me.” Zelda warned the Hunter. “And I will definitely put up a god damn fight.” She hissed.

River growled “I’m not above calling Clara and Brandy to get their words in…” she said simply, the blonde clenching her fist just wantng to swing for the red head and then froze when she suddenly heard the voice she’d been dreading. The hunter quickly whipped round and got in the way of Zelda to protect Missy as well. “Nothing, Evie….I was simply clearing up here…” she said quickly.

“You think I’m corrupting her? When you took her from me, threw her in a god damn cage.” She looked at River and scoffed now she was standing between River and Missy. “I actually love her. I didn’t use her to finish up some silly contract.” When River raised her gun Zelda made sure Missy was safe behind her. “If you care so much about Missy then you know killing me, will only severely damage her.” Zelda hissed.

“I told you, it’s very unhealthy for you to hold back in your little beasty.” Evie said. “My niece had the same problem you did, repressed and repressed until she lost all control of her wild and went out in a rampage.” She whispered quietly. “I can put you in a concealed room you wouldn’t be able to hurt anyone and you can change and release yourself if you wish. Course I won’t ever force a thing on you, but just take in my advice.”

Esti took a breath “I spent alot of my time in Morocco, the wolves out there live in the more desert areas, but you can go for miles without running into another one…I think I needed the solitude”

Esti nodded and locked her body against Evie’s just enjoying in her scent and warmth “Well, I guess I’m just full of surprises?” she wondered.

“Doubtful, I think it’s just a risk when it comes to this role…” she murmured, smoothing her clawed hand up her ex’s cheek “You can’t save everyone”

Evie sighe dsoftly when she changed back and fully sat down and pulled Esti against her and kissed into her hair, gently stroking her fingers through her soft hair. “I’m so sorry..”

Esti gripped the Hunters shirt and smiled weakly, her eyes closed as she rested against her, listening to the womans calm heartbeat, sturdy as a rock. “Don’t be, you’re not the one who bit me.”

Evie closed her eyes and pulled the wolf closer to her nuzzling against its fur and continue to slowly pet the wolf. “You poor thing..” she whispered softly. “I know you didn’t ask for this..”

The wolf made a low noise of appreciation, the fur eventually melting away and leaving Esti in her human form against Evie, not even caring her had no clothing. “There’s probably alot we haven’t asked for…”

Evie paused and took a step back when Esti changed. It took her a moment,but she knelt down and gently ran her fingers through the wolf’s fur. “Oh dear..” she said quietly with a soft sigh. “Of course I would accept you..”

Esti made an almost pathetic whine, her ears were almost a little too big for her and her head, since she was so small framed. The wolf leaned into Evie, her tail weakly wagging, yet still on edge- if anything she probably would have welcomed a silver knife or bullet to the head as an act of kindness from the woman she loved.

Evie closed her eyes and pulled the wolf closer to her nuzzling against its fur and continue to slowly pet the wolf. “You poor thing..” she whispered softly. “I know you didn’t ask for this..”

Evie sighed. “My sister is a witch. And her daughter was bitten by a werewolf when she was a child. I was the only person in my family who wasn’t ‘gifted’.” She sighed again and was silent for a moment before she spoke again. “I just want you to stay with me..”

Esti took in her words, before taking a shaky breath “Then you have to accept me..” she whispered, giving into her feelings and angers, turning into a particularly tiny and thin silver wolf, ones that other wolves would have laughed at- a runt. The timid bag of fur carefully inched over, like a cat that was about to jump at any loud noise.

I help my niece do that when she was a little girl before we all separated. I can make it hurt less for you when you change. I’ll do anything to help you.” She whispered. “Tell me how I can help you.”

“That’s not what I said…” The woman said, her voice barely above a whisper, she then sighed out “I have tried doing that, but I get worked up and then I just change, I’m trying so hard not to do so now” she admitted, showing Evie her hand and the fact that her nails were claw like. “Your niece?” she then then looked to her hands and clenched her fists, the claws digging into her skin “What if I’m beyond help, Evie?”

But let me help you with your suffering.” She sighed and shook her head. “I’m not keeping you prisoner here. You can go if you please.. just know if you decide to go. I will never bother you again. And no harm will come to you. You have my word.”
