The Hive Mind will Consume Everything

Well as you may have guessed, if you play Warhammer 40k, I'm a Tyranid Player and this will be my blog. Here ill post some photo's of battle's, painted units and whatever else takes my fancy as a player. The paint scheme i use on my Tyranids is as follows: An Undercoat of Chaos Black The main body a Necron abyss There back and head carapaces I paint a Blood Red Talons, spines, teeth ect are a Bleached Bone Eye's, tongues are a Liche Purple I also add some gore effects on Talons, spines ect with a Red Gore paint. Sounds complex but dead easy and doesn't take alot of skill, as i get better ill add washers and more colors to the units.

Its been awhile so lets get this blog back into action. Above is my brand spanking new Venomthrope who has already proved his worth with his cover save. And my Trygon Prime finally with a Paint job of his own.

looks really plain just my observation. have you finished it?  would look loads better with detailing on the carapace and texture and washes on the main skin.

Ah yeah, ive done more work on it, I keep falling in and out of posting >.< a really bad habit of mine. Ill post up what he looks like now.

sounds good, love those bigger Tyranids i only have a few random ones i have yet to start an army of them but cool detail on the talons with the blood look, looks pretty gnarly haha

Tah, Ive got it on most of my Nids now it looks really amazing having them all running up with it on them, The claws are painted in Bleached bone and the blood is just Red Gore Dry brushed onto it. and yes i love the bigger Nids too trying to get my Carnifex done and up but gotta wait on his arms to arrive

do you ever order from Forge World? they got some amazing Carnifex bitz you should check them out

Id like to present, and hopefully make me blog some more, My Trygon Prime showing himself off with his new look! In short, although the lighting really doesn't do him justice, Some coats of washers really do make a big difference along with his own Basing which is near complete. You can see some 'mounds' of snow ive done on it and i was thinking of using a red wash to add some bloodied snow onto the base, I will still add yet more detail onto him but for now i'm happy.

Sad face :(

I will not be adding a Hive Tyrant to my army any time soon, Gw has conspired against me and had removed the HT's from sale before my order was place, im assuming for the Fine-Cast Models. EDIT: Well turns out i was slightly wrong, my Hive Tyrant that was ordered was changed to a fine-cast model then tested by the site i ordered off, and was deemed a failure along with most of the other fine-cast items

Hive Tyrant and Venomthrope order

Received an email last night saying that my order had been shipped, then received a second email saying i had been given a refund, which equaled the cost of the Hive Tyrant, a check of the shipping link also confirmed that they were out of stock and the order was refunded, but the first email said it was sent. In all likelyhood i wont be receiving my Hive Tyrant, which is a major disappointment.

Here are the Carnifex's ive been rebuilding complete with there New Scything talons attached, The one on the left will be reconfigured into a Tervigon, hence why it is positioned to be bent over, I'm not sure how ill attach a birthing sack (I guess that's what you can call it) perhaps sculpted Green stuff though Ive never sculpted it before. The one on the right will be a normal Carnifex.

These are the Carnifex's I got from a mate that I'm repairing, they mainly just need to be stuck back together and have replacement arms attached. and for some reason, the photo of the arms keeps uploading upside down.

I received my brand new Case today, along with my Carnifex arms which ill upload in a moment, so i took some shots of everything, even though we all have seen such a case before I got a little excited for it.

Tyranid Order

Can't wait for my order to come in from Wayland, not the biggest order but a Venomthrope and a Hive Tyrant will add some much needed Cover and Firepower, also I just love Hive Tyrants in general. Also ordered a Case which will arrive with a week or less.

My very first battle with Tyranids, Brings back memories, 500pts either side, and yes thats a trygon prime. The highlight of the battle was when a very heroic captain took on the Prime...and almost won, couldn't believe it

Here is one of the first pics of my ever growing swarm in total i have acquired: 38 Termagaunts 29 Hormagaunts 14 Genestealers 3 Tyranid Warrior's 1 Tyranid Prime 1 Trygon (whom I always make a Prime :D) 1 Zoanthrope 7 Ripper Swarms 1 Biovore (although I'm lacking Spore mines right now) 2 Carnifexs (both in the process of being repaired, and one may make the conversion to Tervigon) And a Lictor.
