you’re sitting in the passenger seat of Her SUV. you’re in the woods somewhere. Her hand is gently resting on your thigh as She drives. sprawled across the bench seat behind you is Her dragon.
you’re nervous. you’ve done a lot of primal stuff, but you’ve only done it with other humans. you really don’t rate your chances to manage to evade a trained hunting dragon, especially one as big as Hers. Harpy’s the size of a great dane and you’ve watched her take down fully grown deer. you are not as fast as a deer.
She stops the car and you both get out. She scans the tracking anklet you’re wearing with Her phone so She can find you if you last long enough to “survive”, and smiles devilishly.
you don’t wait for confirmation. you turn on your heel and bolt into the woods. almost out of earshot, you hear Her open a car door and rouse Harpy, “cmon, girl, time to hunt~”
your lungs burn. sticks and leaves crunch under your feet as you sprint, heart pounding. you’re not normally this dedicated as a runner, but you’re spurred on by the mental image of what Harpy did to those birds last time you went hunting with Her. you’re so fucking scared of her. She’s never let Harpy touch you before (even if she clearly wants to), but sometimes She makes you watch the training or hunting sessions because She revels in how batshit terrified of dragons you are. She has made it perfectly clear to you that you’re another pet to Her, and Harpy definitely outranks you. you bounce off a stump, lurching sideways, as something massive screams past your head and bounces off a tree.
you almost falter and panic right there, but you manage to breathe. you cannot let that dragon catch you. you’ll never live it down. you swerve away from something that looks vaguely dragon-shaped ahead of you, and it’s so dark you can’t even see the ground dropping away until you stumble.
it’s over immediately. heavy paws slam into your back, and you’re rolling head over heels and ending up on your back. she’s on top of you. one clawed paw shreds your t-shirt away as her jaws, as long as your forearm, lock around your neck. you try to breathe and remember what She told you about Harpy. “she’s playing with you. she’s trained too well to see humans as viable prey. if you don’t actively fight back, she won’t really hurt you. you can playfully struggle a bit, though, she loves that.”
you writhe a bit under her, and she chirps and shifts her weight to hold you down. she’s not heavy, she probably only weighs 40 or so pounds, but she’s really good at using her size effectively. you try to pull at her jaws, and she releases your neck but moves a paw to your head, digging her claws in to hold you still as her tongue presses against your lips and you instinctively open your mouth, realizing with disgust that this is probably why She kept pressing her fingers against your mouth for the last week. her tongue is hot and rough and moves so much. ew. one of her hindpaws hooks over your waistband and pulls your pants down and-
she breaks the kiss instantly at the clicking sound. She’s standing over the two of you, watching amusedly and flipping a butterfly knife around her hand.
“are you having fun?” Harpy’s tail lashes eagerly. as for you, you’re not sure. you’re so goddamn scared right now, but that kiss wasn’t unpleasant…
you nod, and She giggles. “well, don’t stop on my account!” She snaps her fingers and points at you, and Harpy trills excitedly, smothering your mouth with tongue again. you’re coming around on the whole dragonry thing even if you are still really scared of Hers
