Hidden Beauty

We smile at all the the people that are able to express their love towards us but, What about the ones who never learned to show it? Like a cocoon who’s beauty would never be obvious unless you realized that their is a lot more than just the obvious. The hardest people to love are the most rewarding because in the end even though you have shown them that you wont leave them like everyone in their life has but that you can see past their cocoon and are just waiting for them to show their beauty no matter what colors the wings are they will realize that the important lesson was to always fly.

I used to think about us and how me and you were perfect together, if we were a storm I’d be your lighting and you’d be my thunder because together we made earth feel our love and make new things grow but alone were just a roar away from each other. I hate you not because we’re not together but because I never believed in fairy tales except the one you fed me when you said we would be together always and forever.

Have you loved someone so much that the thought of ever losing them makes you cry , The thought of them being in someone else’s arms is comfort enough to know that even though they are not next to you at least someone has the opportunity to feel the love that you felt in order to be able to comprehend the extent of love there was . Comfort like a warm blanket in a cold house .Love like the one a child has for his mother and father not seeing their flaws but just knowing that they will be there for a long time makes them smile and happy. What if you loved a person so much smiled at the very thought of old memories because it’s been so long since there’s been a new one made that your stomach drops because you’ve failed where you told them you wouldn’t. The longer you’re there the further to drift not because there’s no more love but because there’s much more doubt about yourself. Hate words flying from the mouth that you once considered so beautiful that it was the reason to keep moving forward, now does the opposite but the question always comes up in your mind like the inevitable heat on a hot and humid day in summer yet still no answer . You love her ? I know . She hates me. I know , but why ? …… As I’m writing this note to myself I know she’s waiting for something else to argue about . Will she ever know the truth ? Maybe. Will I be there when she realizes how much she’s worth ? Sadly ……… another question without an answer.

Cruel

It’s funny we could do everything for someone for years without a single complaint, yet when the tables turn that person who you were willing to go through anything and everything in the world treats you like you never did much for them but the part that hurts the most is the fact that they actually believe their own story. Hearing them say all these hateful words that makes you want to break down but can’t because you will show them that they actually affect you. Smiling is my way of coping but just because I walk out of the house smiling or because I greet everyone I see with a smile doesn’t mean that minutes before that, words that are like a knife were thrown at me from the person you would expect it the least.

Hidden Pain

Although I smile and laugh on the outside it is like a veil covering my scars and pain. I once smiled for being happy , now I smile to cover my tears that even though they are not visible they are there running down my cheeks like rain drops fall down leaves in spring. I cry but not the crying that grabs your attention more like the crying that leaves a knot in your throat , the kind that you turn the other way just so no one realizes that for a second they realize that you are hurting. I hide my sorrow so no one else feels what I feel. I smile because how could we ever appreciate love if we’ve never experienced pain from it.
