“Are you serious right now?”
If you don’t love him yet, you should
From this test:
You got: The Moon
You’re deeply creative and intuitive, and many people find you mysterious. You can be manipulative and have a dark side that you’re good at hiding, and maybe have a few skeletons in your closet. That said, there’s a distinct dreamlike quality about you — some might even say psychic.
Tagging: Whoever?
AUTHORITY WEEK 80’S TUESDAY: We’re Not Gonna Take It by Twisted Sister - The 80’s gave us some of the greatest feet pounding, fist pumping, stadium shaking arena rock anthems. But for a brief period in 1984, one band, pulled together from across the New York metro area came together in the late 70’s, released an album that gave us not one, but two anthems that ruled the airwaves and dominated MTV. Twister Sister was that band and the album Stay Hungry was that album.
I Wanna Rock is great in its own right, but this is Authority Week and the tune for today is We’re Not Gonna Take It. It was the lead single and the bigger chart topper. But even better, it was the song that was a target of the PMRC’s ire, leading singer Dee Snider testifying before the Senate committee on music labeling. And that is bad ass, facing off against the man and standing for freedom of speech.

“I only wanted to be part of that so badly because I was the only one who wasn’t. I was alone, with Dad, watching the rest of you fighting bad guys together. And he never missed a chance to tell me I couldn’t because there was nothing special about me… I felt like the Ugly Duckling, only I never became a swan.” It was strange actually telling one of her siblings how she felt about their childhood. She’d tried, when she wrote the book, but they’d all been too offended to understand the point. “I never thought about that. Everyone else acts like it was one adventure after the other.”
“I would have liked to have been the Ugly Duckling but in my way, I was. Only Dad never let me sit it out. I had an obligation to help people because I was special...I had to go on missions. I didn’t want to.”
are personals allowed to interact? Just saw a post about it and wanted to make sure
Well, you can come to talk to me in messages and whatever but I’d prefer not to have my threads reblogged.
buchananbarnes1991:
Cy stared at him for a moment. “So..you’re here because you relate to the pain I feel? I know that spirits sometimes linger around loved ones..when they have unfinished business post their deaths..but..I know for a fact you were never one of..” He looked down, shaking his head.
Why am I telling a dead kid that I didn’t kill him? He’s not someone I hurt.. At least.. I don’t remember someone named.. Ben Hargreeves..
“I guess make yourself at home?” He gave his attention back to his desktop just long enough to save his progress before letting the screen to sleep. Looking back at Ben. “What did you mean..you felt my pain?”
“I can feel it coming off of you. You were taken advantage of...and you have known a lot of pain,” he paused biting his lip in thought though he sat down on the couch after a moment.
“I’ve been around a lot of people in pain. Most of them in my family.”
Headcanon.
Ben has PTSD from the amount of violence and carnage created by his abilities. Even in the after life, it still pains him to know what he’s done.
deadlywithabow:
“Of me? You wanted to be the odd one out in the family that no one wanted anything to do with?” She knew Ben had never loved what he could do, but this was something else entirely. Then again. . Vanya vaguely remembered some passing comment he made about her not having to get involved in all of that… “It would have been nice if we both were,” she said quietly. “Do you think we might’ve been friends then?”
“I think you still might have wanted to be up front with the others but I never did. I have pain when I think about what I did to people...bank robbers, criminals. There was no justice system in Dad’s way of doing things. But I wouldn’t have minded being there for you, Vanya.”
buchananbarnes1991:
Bucky tilted his head to the side as he watched the pen fly through the young man and stab into the wall behind him. “Huh..okay, I believe you..Why are you ‘haunting’ me, Ben? Name’s Bucky by the way. Bucky Barnes. Though, everyone in this building knows me as Cyron or Cy.” He explains a bit of his name without any bother to explain why he had two different names.
“I can feel your pain. It comes off of you in waves,” he paused, looking at Cyron and seeming to take a deep glance. “I think you know how I felt...I feel it.”
The daily tea
deadlywithabow:
Vanya hesitated before replying. “Yeah, but you weren’t. . You were never mean about it, Ben.” It had still stung, but it was nothing compared to how some of the others had treated her. “The point is you’re not the brother I’m angry at, so you have nothing to worry about.”
“It would have been okay if I was. I was resentful of you in life, Vanya. I’m sorry if that ever came out in any way mean...though. I would have loved to have been the one on the sidelines.”
buchananbarnes1991:
“If you’re actually dead when I don’t need to worry about you eating all my food, right?” Bucky questions as he was skeptical. “What’s your name?” He asks before curiously tossing a pen at the young adult. Testing to see if it would hit the stranger in his living room or if it would go through him.
“Yeah, you have no worries about me eating much of anything actually.” He blinked as the pen went right through him and he raised a brow. “Ben Hargreeves.”
buchananbarnes1991:
“Why would I scream over some kid that managed to break into my apartment? Really I am just more surprised than anything else..did you need a place to crash tonight?” Bucky asks as he studied the young man for a moment. He didn’t feel threatened, but these days, people were more than just what was there at face value.
“Because I’m dead. I’m a ghost. Well, I wouldn’t mind crashing but somehow you might be more unnerved about that when you realize I’m telling the truth and I am just a haunt.”
deadlywithabow:
“Wh- Angry? Angry? Ben, why would I be angry at you?” Had he been the best brother to her when they were kids? No. But he hadn’t been the worst, either. Besides, it was hard to be angry at someone who was dead. “I’m not angry at you, Ben.” That didn’t mean there wasn’t anger there.
“You know I excluded you just as much as everyone else. It’s okay to be mad at me....not that I’m saying you are. I’m just...I’m trying to be a better brother now in the after life.”
“I’m taller than youuu...”
rumorsabound:
“If you’re talking to me that doesn’t mean you can’t talk to her. You must still be hanging around for a reason.”
“My reason is more likely Klaus really...he’d be lost without me.”
