the silver-haired man couldn’t help but smile somewhat when the other finally noticed his lack of clothing. he could only shrug at the man’s apology.
“ i’ve seen stranger. either way, you’re fine. ”
as the colorful lights came into view, his eyes widened in confusion and wonder as they rode away from him. blinking a few times, he shook his head and found somewhere to sit quietly while he waited. at this point, he might as well accept what was happening right now. there was no use dwelling on it, at this point.
a few moments later, he saw the man on a white horse, looking up at the man with wide eyes again.
he paused, still in disbelief, but still trying to accept all this.
“ …i’ve never ridden a horse in my life. ”
nevertheless, he reached up towards the other man and took his hand. as much as he didn’t know this man, he didn’t exactly have a choice but to trust him. he did save his life, too, after all.
“Don’t trouble yerself. Ye’re in good hands”, Orome hummed as he pulled the smaller man up on the saddle in front of him, lifting him from the ground effortlessly. “We’ll go slow and Ah’ll hold onto ye like this and ye won’t fall”, he said and squeezed a secure arm around Curtis.
With a click of his tongue and prod to the horse’s sides he guided the beast into movement. The horse was not equipped with reigns but rather seemed to listen to his master’s thought. The trees thinned more to the west, and that’s where Orome thought Curtis would like to go, out of the woods. It wasn’t as if he seemed to belong in there. Men rarely did these days.
“So.. What kind of business brought ye here? Ye said ye were trying tae get somewhere?”
