They deserved to fucking kiss
I know this fake has been ALL OVER other apps with some agreeing and disagreeing whether it should or should not be. Weeeeeeell, I don't give a shit what amy of the crew or writer say but they should've been able to kiss. And you know what, HEAR ME THE FUCK OUT.
We can all claim how we identify AziraCrow. Asexual, Agender, Genderfluid, NonBinary, BoyPussy, Femboy, Gay, and everything else in the flag. We have our owns HCs and our own wants in how we can portray AziraCrow. Well, as a nonbinary identifying human, they deserve the least bit of intimacy they've been depriving themselves of for millenias.
And everyone can raise their pitchforks and get the angry mob, but what's so wrong with them kissing, especially when they're bound to die anyway? What's so wrong about a humanized version of what intimacy is? Why does it seem so hidden and under the rug when it's two male-presenting beings be intimate?
And anyone can say, it's not needed, they're not humans, finger tap was more than enough, eww shipper. And yet they turned humans anyway, so why couldn't we get to see them at least humanize their way out properly if they were just to become humans?
They've set up the precedent in S2 that they were learning about humanity an are applying it. Especially with how they kissed in the F15 of S2. They set it up that these two were learning and navigating their lives. However, not fully humans, more like a third party interested on a whim.
You can tell me that they weren't humans, they're above that, finger tap was the most intimate thing they could do. No, IT FUCKING WASN'T.
Also, we're humans. We can only understand our own form of intimacy unless we study others on how else they communicate, mate, or function. Since we don't have angels or demons to study or know about.
Humanizing their intimacy is the best way to make sense to us. It helps us visualize their wants, passion, desperation, basically emotions.
To state that kissing isn't needed because finger touching and hand holding was enough for 2 queer represented characters,
You are allowing corporations to win in their own bigotry.
We literally saw straight and straight passing couples get their happy ever after while the queer ones are thrown to the wolves to get destroyed. We see them fuck or share the most heartfelt confession with analogy of Heaven and Hell, and yet the beings that had been in love for so fucking long did not need to kiss? Why? Because the mere concept of a human version after them were married and so they'd probably do intimate things? AS AN IMPLICATION.
We're not owed by queer people? But straight passing can straight up fuck in a few weeks to a few months of meeting each other? Are we not just simply finding ways to bury our queer families in this tolerant-masked indifference?
They deserved to kiss and share their last few moments knowing that they loved each other to the point of risking their own fucking lives and happiness for each other. They deserved to know that even when their own offices and sides could not love them, that they were never alone. That they had each other. That even with the daunting apocalypse and the threat of the Second Coming, they deserved to know that both of them were fighting their way against all of it because they wanted humanity and the life of their love saved. They deserved to know that they were loved beyond capacity and limitations. They deserved to know that their flaws and their greatness were adored and highly revered.
A kiss would've shown what words couldn't say. We no longer had any hope for reconciliation, but they at least deserved to have that last bit of freedom for all the time they were shackled by fear. So why do we allow their love to be shut out and just accept the "could haves" because at least they were married,
But that was after they were killed.
What's so good with that? And what's so bad about a kiss?
All throughout childhood we've had stories about true love's kiss and suddenly because we're seeing one of the best representation of queerness, suddenly it's okay to see that they just got married and shit.
We've had Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, The Princess and the Frog, Snow White, Cinderella, all these childhood stories about love and kisses and we can agree it's sweet and all but suddenly queer adults can't have even a small kiss of two beings we know are in a dire, desperate life-ending situation? Make it make sense to me.
They don't even need to do it as despairing in S2. You want parallels?
They could've just had Aziraphale cup Crowley's face and let him kiss his cheeks, nose, and forehead as his one last show of love, and a chaste kiss on the lips to seal and confirm to Crowley that he had always loved him even when under duress.
You know, in parallel to Crowley's kiss of despair and fear of Aziraphale leaving is Aziraphale's kiss of confirmation and assurance. The one thing we never had and gotten til the very end.
They deserved to kiss and telling me that fingering on the mouth was enough, really just isn't. Not with how both if them had been holding back for so fucking long.
They deserve to kiss just as they deserved to have loved each other in the universe that mattered.
If not a kiss, then at least their last dance together.
We didn't misunderstand or overlook the "true meaning" or "deeper messages" of Good Omens. But we are declining to cheapen the established canon by reframing and recontextualizing it in order to pay for what GO3 is trying to sell us. Something that is so off-brand that ninety plus percent of us in a pre-GO3 world would have easily recognized and dismissed it as thematic retconning, character assassinating, horseshit.

Moments I adore in Good Omens (TV series)
I will get the urge to watch this one scene sometimes - I mean, I start it at the "DO SOMETHING", naturally, and let it run until Adam confronts Satan - but there is just something about the whole sequence that makes my heart race and my stomach flip. It's how unified Aziraphale and Crowley are and how it shows us that despite the charade, they are so in sync and want the same thing. And the music and the way it all builds adds to it for sure. Plus, I love seeing their wings out and them in full angel and demon mode, but also, seeing just how powerful they are and how much they care. It's up there as one of my absolute favourite scenes, I love it so much.

You just know that Crowley has souvenirs from every angel date squirreled away all over his flat. I decided he also keeps a little āwhat I watched Aziraphale eat hereā diary on the backs of things like this.
I spent a ludicrous amount of time researching British plant-centric events of the 19th and 20th centuries to make three scraps of paper. The Royal Horticultural Society exhibition was the precursor to the Chelsea Flower Show. I thought the one in May 1862 could have been their last outing before the holy water falling out (also 1862) and 1947 is the first year the Chelsea Flower show was held after WII, so the first one they could have gone to together after making up in 1941. Continued rationing after the war meant the food and beverage options would have been considerably sadder than prewar shows, but I like to think Crowley got to enjoy Aziraphale enjoying some fresh strawberries (not rationed during or after the war) and lemon squash.

Moments I adore in Good Omens (TV series)
The first time I saw this I remember sitting right up, my mouth fell open and my hands clasped at my chest because it's. just. so. damn.soft. Plus, I love any reminders of their supernatural abilities. I have, on multiple occasions over the years, gone and watched just this moment and it never fails to make me grin with glee - it's the most perfect glimpse into the real dynamic between these two and such lovely insight into Crowley's character I think (and Aziraphale's tbh).

"In a story about Armageddon it's stupendous marvelous writing to actually let armageddon happen it defies the expectations GENIUS!!!!" I don't know you, but what I'm expecting from a story that is a comedy about stopping Armageddon, is that despite all the odds, Armageddon gets stopped. Possibly in a humorous way. Having Armageddon happen and call it defying the odds and expectations is fundamentally not understanding how stories work: you give me an ineluctable outcome, then our heroes triumph despite everything. That's defying the expectation. Transforming a comedy that had already defied the odds into a pointless tragedy that is a bad copycat of the previous story? It's boring storytelling. Letting everything go to kingdom come IS the expected outcome, am I supposed to be positively impressed lol? There's a quote from TP on stories and hope that lives rent free in my head, long before this finale even came out, it just explains what I love about stories and books in general.

What is there to say except that I am sorry; Iām so sorry you were failed by the narrative that certain folks now claim doomed you from the start. Iām sorry that your connection was butchered and whored out for money. Iām sorry you were each slaughtered so thoroughly by those who think they know better that you were frighteningly unrecognizable from the moment we saw you in s3 until the last. Iām sorry that your long established and fiercely-fought-for intimacyāfierce as in soft in the face of being hereditary enemies, fierce as in brutally brave tender touches offered with hearts that should have hated the other, fierce as in choosing each other over and over despite the riskāwas erased, and that you were not allowed to have and give the touches you shared with us in the previous seasons.
Iām sorry that your devastating, badly written and lamely put together end is being lauded as anything other than hollow, queerphobic slop. You deserved better. We deserved better.
Iām sorry that Neil ever put his disgusting hands on you and your relationship and weaponized his late friendās name as justification for his being allowed to do so. Iām sorry that Terry was so thoroughly disrespected in your name; please know that so many of us realize that after s1, you became a pawn in a sick manās grasp to wield as he pleased, but that it isnāt your fault.
Aziraphale, Iām sorry that you were made into the hysterical woman trope and dumbed down while they were are it. You have always been a clever and intelligent being, one full of kindness and a beacon of hope for so many. You showed us that being soft was not a bad thing, but a beautiful thing, a desirable thing. You always wanted to do the right thing, and I know you tried your best; I really believe you were so very close to realizing that sometimes the right thing is the thing we want most in the world, even if it might seem selfish. Season 3 does not reflect the essence of who you are; you are not callous, you are not cold and careless. Youāre not an idiot and you most certainly are not what the writers tried to convince us to believe in.
Crowley, Iām sorry that you were beaten down and that your depression was compounded and twisted into a plot device that added in alcoholism as a joke. Youāve always been beautifully emotional, yes, and moody at times, but youād never be so broken as to give up- give up on life, give up on your angel, give up on the world and give up on yourself. You are and always have been an optimist, and you showed us the way forward when the path got dark or damned, but was still the right path nonetheless. Season 3 does not reflect the essence of who you are; you are not an apathetic ghoul, you are not stoic or defeated. You would never give up the chance to be with your angel and to save everyone while you were at it, too. You might be a demon, but youāve never been heartless.
Iām sorry that somewhere along the way, everyone who had the chance to do right by you failed you both; I just hope itās not too late to save you.
I hope that the writers and the artists and the readers and the helpers will fight through the pain of being told we are wrong and bad and sick and childish and media illiterate and selfish. I hope we can offer each other the love and compassion and fire and fight that the two of you would want us to have in the face of adversity. I hope the loudest voices screaming at us to shut up and leave the fandom if weāre unhappy will grow bored of their crusade and leave us to our task. Because we all love you so very much, and we need you. And like you need each other, we also need each other. We need to give you the endings upon endings that you *do* deserve and that you were always meant to have.
