Yellow (by Kristina Manchenko)
With this spellbinding project, insanely talented artist @littlechmura wanted to create a self-contained moment for each of these beloved Harry Potter characters—a single scene that gives a glimpse into their own magical worlds. She’s calling the series “One Breath Each”, and we’re calling it GORGEOUS AF.
“It was recorded, that the 500+ police officers at the scene, fired approximately 10,000 rounds of ammunition in the direction of the house in 90 minutes. This act of terrorism caused the deaths of 11 people (6 adults and 5 children) and destroyed 61 houses in the predominately Black neighborhood of West Philadelphia.”

But we’re supposed to forget and get over it right?
so bombs were too much bad press, they moved to hand guns and shoot black citizens in broad day light
More sources on the MOVE bombing:
1985 NYT story
Video done by The Guardian in 2016 (I’m so fucking annoyed that they call it a ‘compound,’ they were fucking row homes. That style of row home, for those who are not local to the area, are literally everywhere. I live in that same basic style of row home, six-plus to a row - they are up and down every damn street in this area. Also - the video includes footage of the bombing.)
NPR coverage of the 30th anniversary of the bombing
More NPR coverage expressly about ‘why have so many people not heard of the MOVE bombing.’ It’s a Code Switch follow-up to the prior article.
story of my fucking life
I thought of texting you “good morning, I can’t sleep” and then I remembered that you are on a journey which I am not a part of and that’s okay but good morning I can’t sleep

Molecules form and dissolve, returning to the primordial soup of atoms. But consciousness survives the death of the molecules on which it rides. What was once a bundle of energy in a sunbeam turns into a leaf, only to fall and change again into soil. The change of state crosses many boundaries. A sunbeam is invisible, whereas leaves and soil are visible.A leaf is alive and growing, whereas sunbeams aren’t.the colors of light, leaf, and soil are different, and so on. But all these transformations exist as constructs of the mind. The actual energy present in the sunbeam experiences no change at all.
