Thinking about how terrifying Infected Grace Chasity would be. Like, imagine that you've locked yourself in a classroom in Hatchetfield High trying to avoid the hive. And then, you hear someone coming down the hall singing worship songs. The tune is familiar, something you'd be taught in a youth group, but the lyrics are wrong. They're worshipping something else. And every time you'd normally clap your hands to the beat, something is hit against your barricade.

I just realized I do not talk about the princess from twisted nearly as much as I should for someone whose blog title is literally just a quote from her, so I’m deciding to now. I fully think her and her arc is some of Starkid’s best writing. She comes in and it kind of just seems like she’s spoiled and kind of basic satire of Disney princesses, and it seems that she’s mostly going to be used for comedic relief. But as the story goes on you kind of realize that while she is spoiled and incredibly naive, she also has ambitions, good heart, and is willing to sacrifice so much to be able to protect her kingdom and make it better, even if she doesn’t fully understand how things work due to her naivety. She’s willing to marry Aladdin in order to protect her kingdom. I also love how she’s not afraid to call Aladdin out on his bullshit and reject him when he’s being super fucking creepy to her. I think her being mostly written as a comedic relief character for most of the show is also genius in how it relates to her arc, because we as the audience are conditioned to not take her seriously and laugh at her and then she ends up saving everyone in the kingdom’s ass and does what Jafar was never able to do. Rachael Soglin also does not get nearly enough credit for how she plays her, her line readings as the princess stay rent free in my head (hence why my blog is named after one of her quotes just because the way Rachael says it is so funny). God I just love her so much I do not talk about her nearly as I should.
