@calannemity note: with Prototype Two we're seeing if we could try and implement a sense of touch and proprioception to avoid earlier smacking-things problems. Tell us how it goes!

Hi @calannemity we just realized something until you get back to us with the feedback on Robo-arm Prototype One tomorrow please don't hit the button at the joint? We reverse-engineered the design from the Frobots in hopes it would be compatible with nerves (they have such complicated AI! Fscinating!) but apparently that is the extend button.
i. i already pressed it on accident 🥺
got it to retract before anyone could see but. :( sorry
it works really well though! a little bulky and unwieldy and reaction time is still a little slow but it's still just a prototype! i already took it off so it wouldn't irritate anything but i'm liking it so far :>!!
Well at least the extend button works I guess? I'm tempted to leave it in, if it's helpful. Try seeing if you can grab something across the room and report back to me?
grabbed a water bottle. crushed it due to a lack of proper estimation of the arm's strength, but it worked. perhaps you could try to calibrate it so it's easier to maneuver when extended if needed? it is absolutely something that may be useful.
currently trying out its range of motion right now. if i cannot do finger guns and limp wrist with both hands i'll Die. /j

sorry for the late response. i was Asleep
ehh, it does feel a little odd when i wear it, though part of that is probably because it's being worn over half-healed scar tissue (it wasn't damaged, don't worry) and the fact that i'm not used to using or wearing it

I'll see if I can find a way to make it a bit more comfortable before we bring over the next prototype.
