I love the Tam Lin / Glasgow Reel, it’s a hauntingly beautiful tune BUT most of the clawhammer arrangements I know use a lot of drop thumbing (a technique I don’t like because it’s a little awkward and sometimes the base of my nail catches on the strinG hnngg)

Hey so I do not have did or anything of the variants, but I’m friends with a system and I really want to learn how I can be more supportive and helpful…do you have any pointers or are there any discords which allow non systems in? I’ve been doing my best to do my own research and learn from the system when they’re willing to share, but I really want to do more to support everyone.

ah dang anon the best pointer i can give is listen to your system friends and get to know the alters. Theres nothing in our book that helps more than just getting to know whos up front and talking with them. In terms of like discords I really dont know any that aren't like dead as heck but if I happen to find one like feel free to ask me off anon and I'd be happy to share with you.
