I feel so lucky to be able to experience days like these. First surf with @ikissedthefrog. I always come away from every chat more inspired by Josh’s spirit for life. Beaches Closed stops most people getting in the water, but it just means more fun for Josh, even though he is an incomplete paraplegic. Looking for a legend with a camera who would love to join the Possible Surf Fest crew for a day of filming in the water and on the beach. We are running the Possible surf festival for quadriplegic and paraplegic people in November and are getting together on the 18th Feb for a session in Collaroy to film some of the amazing participants surf chat with journalists etc as a soft launch. These are words I never really envisaged hearing as I woke up each morning at 5am to write Ashoo's story. I am so grateful to be able to experience the joy of co-creating this book and to watch its journey as it steps gingerly out into the world. I know these moments can pass quickly so I am just enjoying that a few publishers in London, NYC and Australia are interested enough to read The Jar of Dreams. I have so much gratitude for this man. Lyle opened up his home, the raw and pristine land that he is a custodian of and his heart. We had never met before, but through his generosity of spirit, I feel a connection that transcends the time we shared. His respect for the land and for his fellow people has created a sanctuary in the jungles of Lawadi. Lyle has left much behind him as a former government minister in Papua New Guinea. He has chosen simplicity over success, peace over power and the quiet of nature over the busyness of the life so many of us know.
