Sure, you know how to self-flagellate, but do you know how to apologize? Saying "I'm a stupid idiot" is not the same thing as saying "I did something wrong."

People who want an apology pretty much never want to hear "I'm a stupid idiot." If someone is actually trying to get you to say you're a stupid idiot, it's not because it will make up for a mistake you made or harm you caused. It's because they want you to feel like a stupid idiot. People who care about you do not want you to feel like a stupid idiot and it hurts them when they see you putting yourself down in their name.

Sometimes, you might feel far from God. In those moments, you have to remember that you can't go by how you feel. You gotta go by what you KNOW.

The Bible tells us in Deuteronomy 31:6 that God will NEVER leave us nor forsake us.

Believe that!! When thoughts like "God has left me" and "God is far from me" pop up, immediately hit them with Deuteronomy 31:6. Don't even let them dwell in your mind! If you let them linger on, they will get stronger. So shut them down with the truth of what The Bible says because what God says triumphs over everything!!!

i love being a Californian with all my heart. even if i move again - which is likely, there will always be a part of my heart here. i love the coast, the mountains, the foothills, the plains. i love the people.

holiness transcends the game. holiness only can happen when we're close to the ONE who is holy. apart from Christ, our attempts at holiness risk becoming performative
