Asking for help is not easy; it’s very embarrassing, especially for a family that used to live a decent life. My husband and I completed our university education with distinction, worked in respectable jobs, and were used to helping others, not asking for help. But the war has turned our lives into a nightmare; we lost our home, our sources of income, and even our ability to provide the simplest of needs.
I'm Hanan. For the past 13 months, we have been struggling to get healthy food and medicine for my child, whose weak body was attacked by infection, and for my elderly mother-in-law, who fell into a coma for several days and almost lost her life due to anemia caused by our inability to provide healthy food, as prices have risen more than 10 times. Now, we have run out of everything. While you are reading my message, my family and I are trying to survive amidst all kinds of suffering.
What was once a beautiful dream and reality has now become a nightmare. Starvation is one thing, but starving, freezing, and being forced to flee in the middle of the night when tanks suddenly arrive in your area, running for your life and your family’s life under fire, leaving behind everything you built over the years, and returning after 5 months of suffering in displacement and tents to find that your home, where you lived your happiest moments, is nothing but rubble, is something completely different! 💔😓
Can you feel my broken heart now? Can you imagine what I’m going through at this moment? Everything I am living now cannot be described with words, and every moment here is filled with pain and fear. We desperately need your help, as we live in hope of escaping Gaza to save our lives and live safely away from the explosions.

But our joy is incomplete; we are still without work or income, without a roof to protect our children from the cold and rain. Our torn tent barely shields our bodies from the harshness of winter, and the soaring prices deprive us of securing the simplest necessities of life, such as food, water, and medicine.😓

We don't have much time, there's little possibility of us being able to log in this week.
We managed to get to our appointments but my MiL is worse than we thought, the doctor found two two herniated discs and we had to take her to urgent care since her leg went numb for hours and would not respond.
She needs more tests and take another medication for the pain. It's $30 per box she needs 3 for the month, we want to have enough for transportation in case her leg(s) go numb again, in that case she'll undergo surgery, inevitably.
Meanwhile she needs to wait and rest until we get her biopsy results.
I'll run out of my medication in less than 2 weeks.
And we lost the deal on the computer.
We already used the remaining money to secure food and pay the check up for the cat but still needs lab tests.
We want to get another bed so my MiL can rest better and maybe another pillow because she can't stand the pain.
Still the mold is making breathing hard for us, still $1,300 just for that
We managed to get some jigs and hope this open up more opportunities but nothing serious with a contract and labor protections for us. I asked one client for pics of the product I did for them so I hope to have something up in my Kofi to have some kind of labor to offer for anyone who wants to support us.

We're going to get vinegar and new sponges to make another deep cleaning but it is getting very hard to breathe. At least 3 of us are specially sensitive.

My name is Lena Khames, a 27-year-old wife to my husband, Mohammed, and a proud mother of three beautiful children: our daughter Yasmmen and our two sons, Ali and Adam.
We come from Al-Zahraa in the Gaza Strip. I have a diploma in e-commerce, but our once stable and hopeful life has been shattered by the devastation of war, leaving us struggling to rebuild.
Our world collapsed when a missile targeted our home, reducing it to rubble in an instant 💔. The home we had built with $40,000, a place where we had hoped to raise our children in peace, was completely destroyed. We have been left homeless, with nothing but memories of what we once had.
Our family has been forced to move repeatedly 💔due to the conflict. After being displaced from our home by military force to a supposedly "safe" area, we quickly learned there is no safe place in Gaza. Each time the danger intensified, we had to flee again, struggling to protect our children from the violence that surrounded us. Today, we live in a tent under unbearable conditions, without even the most basic necessities.
In one of the many attacks, my husband, already suffering from a previous injury, was seriously wounded in his leg 💔. He now requires continuous medical care and a special device to help him walk again. To make matters worse, my husband lost his brother Mahmoud in the conflict—his brother died in his arms while they were inspecting the ruins of our home. The emotional and physical pain has weighed heavily on him, and on all of us.
Adding to our burden, my husband also lost his car—the sole source of income for our family— 💔 which had cost him $20,000. This loss has left us without any means of financial support, making it nearly impossible to care for our children and ensure their safety.
