So If I Have A Chance, Would You Let Me Know?
Hikari's body felt so cold, she was starting to come down off the adrenaline now. But her back felt... unnaturally numb. If she wasn't so focused on Michi, it might have concerned her. Her face was resting on Michi's shoulder for a moment, things where starting to get fuzzy, she was starting to get light headed. She just needed to get herself together. There was something important she needed to do.
She was somewhat annoyed Nagano was ruining their private moment. She didn't want any help from him. She still didn't trust him, and how much help could he- Hikari pulled back slightly from Michi, it hurt, but she was so dizzy now. She held onto her own face for a few moment.Â
"I don't.... mind."
Slowly, cautiously because her own state she inched forwards to take Michi's face into her hands. Carefully bringing their heads forwards until they where just barely touching. She didn't want to put pressure on Michi's injuries.Â
"I don't mind... protecting you." Her voice sounded strained and small. She had to act quickly she was starting to see white. "I want to protect you.... I like to... keep you safe... from... everything..."
She turned her head slightly. "I want . . . to always . . . protect . . . you"
And softly she pressed her lips against Michi's own. She really wasn't sure what she was doing. In a sense at least. But she wanted to. But it was over as quickly as it begun. She rested her head back on Michi's shoulder. Her eyes were closing on their own, the sounds of everything was so faded. She wouldn't be able to stay conscious for much longer.
But she finally felt at peace.
