Primed and paited side covers. New tires. Took the bike into a friend who helped sort out a vacuum leak and synced the carbs so it's running smooth. Just a few finishing touches left before I consider it done.

A couple shots from when I wheels the bike out to the living room to wire this beast. I saved the original wire harness and was careful to lable everything which made rewiring it effortless.
Not quite complete but it's been on the road since April 1st which was the goal. Sorting out the bugs and wating in a few more parts to arrive.
The original plan with these Clubman bars was to flip them around for better posture but after much debate decided to run them cafe style. Tightens the look up and I'm sure will be fun to ride.
Cut down the rear fender and popped on the taillight. I'd been storing and working on the bike in the sitting room for the winter months.
Front brake is complete. Noticed a slide was missing so I made one up using a piece of galvinized sheet metal. A Instagram poll was taken and the majority said to paint the calipers red... So here we are.
Replacing the old missed matched cables for new missed matched cables. Turns out I didn't need a wire kit after all, just needed the wires.
Ran into a few snags while rebuilding the carbs. The choke flaps were mission two of the carbs and on was just holding on. Filled them with epoxy so the choke at least works.
Heavy dirt and varnish, missing screws all cleaned and replaced. Not perfect but feeling pretty good about where they are at now.
The finished product - 2/2
Took a month and a half but the seat is done! Well done for now. Here is post 1/2
New parts came in and they got the copper treatment! Getting close on this build.
Seat pan progression. Rust bucket to almost new looking. The seat is starting to take shape too but not quite post ready yet.
Been neglecting the tumbr but loads of progress has been made! Got a shipment from z1 with some new brake pads and picked up fresh bearings and seals from the folks at Daytona. I'm continually amazed by what I find and even more amazed I managed to ride this bike home. With fresh bearings and brakes I'm confident I'll keep rolling but be able.to stop when I need to!
Paint day (weeks really). Two passed of clear coat on the frame and first pass of metallic copper on the tank. One more pass at the tank then a clear coat and we will call her good.
All rust removed and defused! Primed and ready to paint. I'm liking the grey so much I may just clear coat it and call it a day.
Been spending more time working and less time documenting. The tank was pretty rusted inside so treated it to a nice bb and vinigar bath for a week before etching and lining it. After dealing with the inside I figured might as well treat it to a cosmetic make over. So stripped the paint and prepped it for paint.
