if you’re having a bad day, here’s a cute little marching band
It just keeps going and getting better. *^^*
Me two minutes ago: “cry with joy? an animation of cats playing instruments made someone cry with joy?”
Me now: (sobs into a tissue) “OH MY GOD THAT ONE IS PLAYING TWO RECORDERS AT THE SAME TIME” (blows nose)
CAT PARADE IS BACK
ALWAYS reblog Cat Parade! 💕💕💕
And one of them has a little duck on its head 🤣
I’ve been blessed with the kitty marching band! I love them 💚🥰

> High score! What happened? Did i break it?
> You don’t see too many YouTube videos from 2005..
Weird to think that was almost a 10 years ago.
i think this is my favorite video of all time. ive been utterly enamored with it for years – i really believe it captures such a genuine, delightful aspect of humanity and culture from the 2000s, and its so fun to watch!!
I could tell instantly from the way he was positioned on the bar that this video was going to showcase some serious skill. I was nonetheless cometely unprepared for what happened.
The DDR bros from the early 2000s will always have a soft spot in my heart

Várblót / Spring Equinox Altar Cloth
For my very first várblót / spring equinox celebration, i want to make a special altar cloth runner that i can lay on top of my usual altar cloth for the celebration.
Here's the cross stitch pattern i made (feel free to use it yourself if you'd like :) (it's about 280 x 140 stitches)):
I decided to use motives that represent abundance, prosperity, and fertility (from a more nature-based viewpoint). I also wanted to have loooads of flowers. The overall design and the patterns are all taken from old traditional German embroidery patterns from the 16th to 18th century. Here are all the sources:
the animals are from a German pattern book from 1760 (some of the flowers are from there as well)
the top and bottom border are from a Swiss pattern book from 1600
the left and right border and one of the flowers are from a pattern book from ca. 1596
some of the smaller flowers are from a pattern book from 1608 and from a pattern book from 1604
(Now, unfortunately, the fabric and embroidery floss are still on their way and with only 6 days to go until the spring equinox, i'm 99.9% sure i won't finish it in time. But that's okay, i'll work on it throughout spring and then i'll have a finished product for the next spring equinox)
