Deep introversion will never be seen as weird to me. I rather be in my head than with others. This concept is not understood by some and it is somewhat frustrating.

I enjoy outside activities and new experiences, but I rather do them alone. No hits taken to my social battery. I don't need community to feel good.

It's very telling that meljay only gets traction on twitter, the discourse website. And is irrelevant on instagram, bluesky, reddit, tumblr, etc.

If ships, characters, dynamics, top bottom preferences, queer relationships, anything fictional effect you to the point of stress and constantly arguing with others on twitter, perhaps its time for you log off and go outside.

while i am happy having an academic smarts brain that is well versed in math, i wish i had the artistic brain with an eye for various art mediums. i have no such talent.

i think the worst part about dealing with meljay fans is that a majority of them think shipping jayvik itself is inherently racist. zero brain cells type of statement. no critical thinking involved, all just emotional recoil to a statement that they take too personally.

i found meljay lacking chemistry, depth and agape. (but you can't even say that without them attacking you; different opinions don't exist apparently). on first watch, they felt like the stereotypical comphet couple who gets together right away in the series. sure, they had some touching moments together but there wasn't any lengthy build up, drama or tension to get invested into it. i had no reason to be interested in the couple "getting together" because it happens all so fast. we don't see them grow or evolve together on screen /solely/ from their love. their ending lacked any romance too, which felt like the nail in the already beat up coffin. it was clear they had other paths. this is what the writers wrote, so i don't see why they get mad at the fans taking it as such.

the dynamic i usually enjoy for couples was not present and thats okay! not everyone has to like what i like and vice versa. but calling people racist over non racist remarks? treating real life people who do not ship your ship like dogshit? treating fictional characters like real people instead? treating your ships like activism?
