Protesters take to London streets over Theresa May’s handling of Grenfell Tower fire
Armed with signs stamped with “JUSTICE FOR GRENFELL” and “NEVER AGAIN,” protesters took to the streets of London on Friday afternoon to call for justice for the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire.
The blaze, which began in the early hours of June 14, claimed at least 30 lives, with dozens more reportedly still unaccounted for.
On Friday, protesters flooded the streets to demonstrate against the British government’s response to the disaster, with particular ire reserved for Prime Minister Theresa May. Read more (6/16/17)

At Isca Academy in Exeter, England, the boys have had it. It’s hot. Their uniforms, with their long pants, are stuffy. They want relief but they can’t wear shorts. What’s a boy to do?

Heather Busby, executive director of NARAL Pro-Choice Texas, was attending March’s South by Southwest conference when she spotted a group of silent women clad in red, hooded robes and white bonnets.
Hulu had hired the women as promotion for its television adaption of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale, which premiered in April.

On Wednesday, Trump surprised the nation and announced he is banning transgender individuals from serving in the military “in any capacity.”
Moreover, the decision to ban transgender individuals from service was met with immediate and sharp criticism, including denouncements from several Republicans.
