Daisy's first bath

Daisy had her first bath today! She's managed to wiggle herself behind all our furniture and got covered in dust in the process as well as she threw one of her toys into her litter box and pounced into it. We figured a scrub was in order. ❤

She was more scared of the drain in the tub than the water that was turned on.

At first the sound startled her so we had to hold on to her.

She calmed down once we lowered her in and splashed her a bit

She even tried playing with the water a little

We all know what happens to fluffy cats in water

THEY'RE REVEALED TO BE SUPER TINY

Afterwards we got her all dried up, she ran around to fluff up again as well and in the end was tuckered out on the couch in her new soft blanket from the vets office

She loves being tucked in, she will not fight you over it and has actually come to expect to be tucked in during her naps. She'll purr so much when we pet her as a tiny loaf.

Little Daisy at home base. Around halfway you'll see what I mean by "spitfire". If you ever got near her while she was on her perch this was and still is her attempt at hissing.

Daisy's First Vet Visit

Daisy had her very first visit to the vet on the 4th and she was so brave! We're so proud of our little ball off fluff, she didn't bite or scratch any of the staff.

She was so scared being outside, we kept her as far away from the side road, talked to her bunches, and gave her treats -although she was too shocked to eat them.

Quiet and curious at the vets office

After being examined by the vet we were told she's in perfect health - strong lungs, teeth are coming in just fine, and a great little heart - even though it was a bit fast at the time because she was scared of everything being so new.

AND WE ACTUALLY HEARD HER HISS!!

Normally, it's a little spit-fire of a thing that sounds like "PE-HK", but while the vet was handling her she let out a couple of these dinky little hisses.

I'm so glad her health is uncompromised, especially considering the place she was found in and it's believed she was born prematurely given her size.

Little Copy Cat

As you guys know from our very first post Daisy is a little rescue cat and was found all on her own.

Now, I had my suspicions that she doesn't necessarily know how to "cat" because being very little with no littermates or mother figure she didn't have a quintessential cat figure to learn from.

She knows how to clean herself and knew right from the start what a litter box was (was so proud of my 3 week old fur baby when she waddled in) so don't worry about something being wrong!

What I'm getting at here is she's imitating my boyfriend and myself and it's damn adorable.

She reaches out and holds your finger in her paw(no claws)

She sits like a people when confused.

She lays down like how my boyfriend and I lay down when browsing our phones -including holding the one little paw like she's holding a phone.
