Thank you so much to everyone who has submitted to the show. We can't wait to review the work you've all so kindly sent in for consideration. This project is a community effort and would not be possible without the contributions of writers far and wide. This year, we were able to meet our outreach goal--our number of entries actually doubled from last year! Thank you!
You can hope to hear back from us later this month. We will be notifying all applicants whether they were accepted or not.
In the meantime, follow us on Instagram and Twitter: @thelitexhibit
And don't worry, we have more opportunities available for folks to participate in making the magic happen 🙂🙂🙂🙂

OPEN CALL: THE LIT EXHIBIT
The Lit Exhibit is a pop-up gallery held in Brooklyn, NY showcasing literary art, visual storytelling and writing by contemporary and emerging writers. It is a unique presentation of literature and storytelling dedicated to provide folks with an interactive and immersive experience.
Consideration for the show is handled by an online application, where writers are invited to submit work according to a selected theme. For the 2018 showing, the theme is BRIDGES. Applicants are allowed to interpret this as literally or as figuratively as they’d like.
The Lit Exhibit seeks prose, poetry, and experimental / hybrid literary art relating to the theme of BRIDGES.
Work is being considered under three categories:
Hybrid / Experimental Literary Art (Image based Text)
Prose / Poetry (traditional text)
Installations (Audio, Video and Interactive Literary Work)
Submission is free and notice of acceptance will be sent out via email in the spring.
