Glamour shot from G:Zines a couple of months ago. The G:Zines team are doing amazing work bringing zinesters, indie comic artists and lovers of small press together every single month for the cutest new little zine fair in the Southern Hemisphere! The Geelong Library and Heritage Centre has become a hub for creativity, they've even opened up a new zine vending machine upstairs which is just wild. More information and images on their instagram, and you can also keep updated on their website - if you can come on down, definitely make the trip, it's a great time with some lovely people!

Queer Zest Zine Fest 2024 is a celebration of LGBTQIA zines and diy/indie publications. The festival will take place 100% online November 9-17, 2024.

Zine fairs had been a really wonderful place for me in the past, and even though I was still feeling a high level of agoraphobia and generalised anxiety, I thought that being there - being around my community, being around artists, and people who like art - would help to boost my spirits. I always have a pride flag on my table so that people know what I’m about right from the start, and so I naturally tend to attract LGBTIQA+ people to my table. It was so heart-breaking to be greeted over and over again by someone visibly upset because they had been harassed by the ‘No’ campaigners outside. Arts spaces like zine fairs tend to be pretty liberal places and have always felt like a safe space for my community. In addition, Sticky Institute, the zine store that runs the event, had been very public about their support for marriage equality during the debate. It was no accident that the ‘No’ campaigners were targeting us in particular.

8ème Festival du Fanzine, de la Sérigraphie et du D.I.Y. Du lundi 11 au dimanche 17 novembre 2019, nous allons passer une semaine à créer un fanzine collectif avec toutes celles et tous ceux qui veulent se joindre à nous. Cette année encore j'ai la chance de pouvoir m'occuper de l'atelier du Lundi au Mercredi, venez dessiner avec nous !
