For a brief moment, Bristol worried she may have been too forward. But surely Colin knew how attracted she was to him? He definitely picked up on how often she flirted with him. So why not sleep together? Any and all doubts disappeared when she heard how deep his voice had become; it seemed to rumble through her body, making her shiver. “I’d be glad to.” Her hands moved to rest atop his, but only for a second. Then they were gently sliding up his arms and when she reached his shoulders, she slid them to his chest and gripped his shirt. Drawing him closer, she caught him in a deep kiss. 

Colin tugged Bristol closer, forcing her legs to part as his hips separated them. He was eager to get her out of her clothes and get the fun started. It had been too long since he’d had sex and Bristol was gorgeous. The last thing he wanted to be was patient. 

His hands moved up her thighs and torso, slipping easily underneath her shirt. Colin’s fingers found the edge of her bra and deftly slid underneath the fabric, searching for her nipples. Her skin was soft and supple underneath his calloused hands causing a quiet groan to echo up from his throat.

“Fine!” When she felt the bed bump against her legs, she dropped down quickly. Her bum hit the bed and she pushed herself back on the bed, away from him. Now free of his touch, if only for a moment, she gave him what he wanted. “I could get you off quicker.” Yes, that was really what she had been thinking when she’d said she could beat him at something. And she was curious to know if he’d accept the challenge. 

The words surprised him a bit. They were certainly very forward, though he supposed he should have known that Bristol wouldn’t hold back. “That’s quite the claim.” He said, his voice dropping an octave. Colin reached out to rest his hands on her thighs as he leaned closer. “I think you’re going to need to back that up with proof.”

Looking for Trouble

“Please,” Kingsley gave one of his ‘scoffs’ that made him think he was better than everyone else, even though there was a smile on his lips, “I’ll get you a pair of tickets. Just lat me know when you want to come out to a game.” Some might have thought that was a kind gesture, but to Kingsley, it was to prove his worth and more of a selfish thing than anything else. Still, it would be nice to have a friendly face or two in the crowd. “What are you doing nowadays?” Kingsley asked before smirking, “Chaser and it’s fantastic.”

“You don’t have to do that. You lot have to get paid somehow, right? And doesn’t part of your paycheck come from ticket sales?” Colin tucked his hands into the pockets of his jeans. “Still making my way through the Hitwizard training. I’m starting to think that they don’t ever intend to let us out into field.” He laughed. “Congrats, man. Bet the practices are killer.”

In a sense, the kiss was a surprise. She’d partly been expecting him to tease her in some way. But as soon as their lips touched, she was beyond relieved that he didn’t. Her hands gripped at his shoulders as his pressed firmer on her back, pressing her even closer to him. But then suddenly, she pulled back with a gasp as his fingers danced along her sides. “Colin!” She laughed as she tried to squirm away from his hands. “S-stop!” 

“You should have just told me. Then you wouldn’t be going through this.” Colin used his body to guide hers back towards the bed as his fingers continued to move along her sides. Most of his friends were ticklish and it was a threat he was used to acting upon. “Are you going to say it now? I’ll stop if you do.”

Looking for Trouble

He could almost hear the bulging biceps as Colin ran up to him. As he was clapped on the back, Kingsley masked his scoff with a smirk and looked to his former housemate, “A while indeed.” The smirk turned slightly more genuine at seeing the familiar face, “Fantastic considering I’m on the Puddlemere team. How about yourself Colin? What have you been up to as of late?”

“That’s awesome man. I’ll have to get tickets this year and watch one of your matches.” He still missed Quidditch, though he knew that quitting was something he’d had to do. Maybe watching a match or two would be enough to soothe that. “Just working. I didn’t think it would take over my life as quickly as it has but what do you do?” He shrugged. “What position did you get?”

A soft laugh left her lips as the door was kicked closed and he drew her close to him. It was nice being back on her feet again; it made it clear just how much taller her was than her. Her cheeky smile remained on her lips even as his head dipped towards hers. “Like hell I will. Show me your worst,” She whispered back as she stood on her toes, brushing her nose against his as her hands slid up to his shoulders. 

“As you wish.” Colin dipped his head the rest of the way down and captured her lips in a kiss. His hands moved around to her back and slid down to rest against her hips as he pressed their bodies together. His mouth curled into a smile against her lips as he startled to tickle her.

If it wasn’t obvious, Bristol was in a very playful mood. And as his hand came up to tap her backside, she let out a low moan, wanting to tease, rile him up, make him laugh, whatever. She just wanted a reaction. “First door on the right.” She tried to use her foot to point, but her instructions were pretty clear. She was very much looking forward to finding out what ‘the hard way’ would be. 

The moan was a bit of a surprise but his body was already reacting to the sound before his brain had even been able to fully process it. Colin walked over to the door that she had instructed and pulled it open as easily as he had with the front door. Once they were inside the room, he set her back down on her feet while kicking the door closed with his foot. He tugged her against him. “Last chance to come clean and make it easy on yourself.” His voice was soft and he dipped his head down closer to hers.

Looking for Trouble

For one reason or another, there was always some sort of social encounter that got Kingsley into trouble whenever he visited London. Especially if he went to the Leaky Cauldron. With that in mind, he had left Quidditch practice to go find some entertainment for the night, waiting to visit the establishment last. For now, he leaned on a wall in an alleyway, grinning as though he was better than everyone else; because, well, in Kingsley’s eyes, he was. Although he soon grew bored, and walked a bit down the pavement. A voice then caught his attention, turning around.

Colin jogged to catch up to his former housemate, clapping the other boy on the back. “Hey man. It’s been a while since I’ve seen you around.” Colin and Kinglsey had never been close but he’d always tried to be at least friendly with the other Gryffindors while they’d all been at Hogwarts. “How’ve you been?”

“Why? You turned on by this, Finnigan? Never thought you’d be into spankings.” Bristol replied cheekily, a laugh following soon after. She kept up the drumming, only pausing to close the door behind them as she shook her head. “I mean, yeah. Not just gonna give that kind of information away for free.”

“Well, that’s a shame. Looks like we’ll have to do this the hard way.” Colin reached up and delivered a gentle smack to Bristol’s backend in return. “Which room is yours?” The last thing he wanted was to accidentally end up in the wrong person’s room. That would just be awkward for everyone involved.

“Hey man.” Colin clapped Frank on the back in greeting as he approached the other boy. “Rena said you know a lot about religions. I was wondering if we could talk about that?” It had been something he had been thinking about since the second attack on Hogsmeade when he had stepped between a younger student and a Death Eater’s curse. How it could have easily been the last of him. The afterlife hadn’t been something he’d thought much about. But it had been in the back of his mind a lot more after that.

She felt the tension start behind her ribs and seep through her body. It was the first time she’d felt awkward since she walked into the room initially. She hated it and she forced herself to take a normal breath, looking over at him. “You always do know how to flatter me.“ She left it at that, a small, understanding smile on her lips as she looked away from him. At his follow-up statement, she fell happily into the subject change with a chuckle. "Yeah, I have bills to pay." 

“Must be a natural talent.” Colin sighed a little wistfully as he continued to gaze up at the ceiling. Things were still messy between them, regardless of distance or time apart. He was starting to think they’d never go back to how they had been before the party. “Maybe some other Ministry department would take us. How do you feel about the Department of Magical Games and Sports‎?”

“A few things come to mind. But I don’t think you’d believe me so…” Bristol drew out the ‘o’s and just kept smirking, not quite ready to give him what he wanted so easily. When he took the keys straight from her, she huffed before a smile crept back onto her face. “You know, I think I will.” With that, she began to drum her hands on his arse; her argument would be that there wasn’t much else to enjoy from up there. 

Colin burst into laughter as he felt her hands collide with his backside. “Oi. Give a guy some warning first.” He kept one arm wrapped securely around her legs as he pushed open the door to the apartment. Bristol’s weight was balanced enough that he didn’t have any concerns over dropping her. “Am I going to have to force the answer out of you?”

“Thanks,” She hunched over the paper again, scratching out more details on one of the wings to make it a bit better, a bit more accurate. A small smile quirked onto her face when he made a guess on what sort of dragon she had sketched. He was wrong- it was a Norwegian Ridgeback- but at least he made an effort to be interested in what she was doing. That Erin could appreciate. “Close, but no cigar. It’s a Ridgeback… it’d be a little easier to tell if this was in color… people get them confused sometimes. It’s more common than you’d think.”

“Is color the only thing different between them?” Colin asked. He watched her pencil move across the page, cataloging all the changes, regardless of how small they were. He didn’t mind that his guess had been wrong. Especially since it gave Erin a chance to show her knowledge on dragons.

Erin could always tell when someone was watching her draw. The shadow did most of the telling, and she could practically feel the person craning over her and looking at the paper. She turned and pulled the paper into their line of vision and smiled. “It’s just a dragon. See?”

“Nice.” Colin dropped down onto the grass next to Erin, his elbows coming to rest on his knees. “What kind is that?” He studied it for a moment as he tried to recall everything he’d learned about dragons during his time at Hogwarts. It hadn’t been much. “Horntail?”

Bristol squealed as he suddenly tossed her up over his shoulder. When she found she could hardly even squirm thanks to him holding her tight, she gave in and laughed. “Okay fine. I couldn’t beat you in a foot race but I sure as hell could beat you in other things.” A smirk crossed her face as she went somewhere dirty with that; she was glad he couldn’t see her. “Are you gonna put me down so I can open the door or did you want to do that too?” She giggled as she reached back into her pocket to pull out the keys to the flat.

“Oh really? And just what do you think you can beat me at?” Colin quickly snagged the keys out of Bristol’s hand once they were safely out of her pocket. He would let her down once they got into the apartment. Until then she would remain securely over his shoulder. “I got that. You just enjoy getting a free ride.”

“Yeah but you could’ve at least pretended to try. Then I may have pretended to believe I could actually beat you at anything.” Bristol pointed out, but just seeing him grin had her fighting with her own face. Unfortunately, her face won, and soon she was smiling at him and allowing him to uncross her arms. Though he did earn a punch with her free arm before she stuck her tongue out at him. “Besides, I’m pretty damn fast. I think I could’ve at least come close.” 

“But that would be cruel of me to get your hopes up.” Colin joked. As she punched him, he darted forward and grabbed her around the waist, picking her up over his shoulder. He held onto her legs tightly, keeping her secured. “We both know that you can’t really beat me.”

She grimaced at the idea. “I’m not ready to be old. I cawon’t look good with grey hair.” She picked up a lock of her own hair, inspecting it as she imagined it. She dropped it again, rolling onto her tomach to look down at him, chin propped up on her hand. “We probably would have gotten fired.” Merlin, she had missed this. 

“I think you’ll still look pretty good even with grey hair. You could pull of anything.” The words left Colin’s mouth before he could properly think them over and stop them. It was quiet for a moment as he realized the extent of his slip up. With a cough, he turned his attention back to the ceiling. “Well, it’s a good thing they weren’t here.”
