Dream
I hate the term 'BORN TO DO THIS!' (this being whatever you do) it taunts and spits. It makes you feel so much.... unnecessary responsibility. A lot of young artist could benefit from having the mindset of: I WAS NOT BORN TO DO THIS because most were not. Any artistic medium requires you to have some sort of sophistication, and the easiest way to achieve this is (with high exaggeration) by sticking your nose high in the air and saying with such sophisty sophistication "I WAS BORN TO DO THIS!" people will then begin clapping and nodding in a accepting manner of you. If you're like me though you weren't born to do this. In my case, with music, i did it cause it looked cool on tv and to fit in at the beginning of high school. i hated music when i was younger. I admit this and know this, and because of that i have fun with what i do. Without that feeling of responsibility to myself and those around me to have a movie-esque story, and feeling as if i was put on this earth to CHANGEITALL I instead experiment with my sounds and only make music when i feel comfortable. I understand that with patience and practice i will do this right. This attitude is producing an original sound, the goal all artist strive for, i am achieving this by being honest with myself. So what if i don't have the traditional story. I continued to come back to the music when i felt the need. I am going to change the world with my music. I WAS BORN TO DO THIS.
