Michischili and The Lost Rivers of Tokyo

The aim for this project is to recapture the ecosystem (if there is such a thing) of the city Tokyo, by visiting the Ryokudos in Tokyo. Ryokudo is a promenade that used to be a river. Cars and motorcycles are not allowed to go inside and it is legally considered as a park, instead of a road in Tokyo. It is also considered as an evacuation route for the people in case of a disaster. Nevertheless, many people are oblivious to the fact that this promenade was a river during the Edo period. Edo was a metropolis with rivers and canals functioning very precisely and safely to support the lives of the people. So why don't I shed light to the history of these promenade?
