So there was this one point in life where I had nothing to do other than go to work. Then one day I woke up and I have a million things to do in addition to work. I both love this. And hate this. But mostly I love it because it's what I do-- I love doing things!

Today was not an awesome Whole30 day, which leads me to believe that I am coming over the hump from feeling terrible most of the time to feeling amazing and skinny and healthy.
Let's start with how I did not sleep AT ALL last night...liiiiiike not at all. No sleep equals a very grouchy me...not to mention its shark week *lament*
My day was much improved after choosing to have 4 (four) slices of bacon with dinner *read: bacon makes everything better*
I ended my day with coaching cheerleading in which my shining moment included the words: "NO TWERKING OR YOU'LL RUN LAPS!!!!" -- they're 11 and 12, seriously????
Redeeming myself by prepping some roasted brussels and mashed sweet potatoes for lunch tomorrow!

Day 7
Today is day 7 of my Whole30 and I kind of feel like garbage. My energy has been pretty low all day and I feel completely drained and week. My sleep quality has actually diminished as well. I'm thinking maybe I'm not eating enough but I don't want to eat anymore than I currently am because I'm not hungry. I also don't have a job where I can just eat all day long-- I have people in and out of my office, many of whom don't have the means to eat good meals. Something that's not really a revelation is that my emotions are tied into food. Today was a really annoying day and I wanted cookies. I did not have cookies. Hoping I start to feel this energy boost everyone has talked about in the next few days.

Me yesterday...
One of our local news anchors is named “Penn Holderness".
Is that not the most “local news guy" name ever?
And is “Holderness" an adjective?
Like, “I’m trying to improve my degree of Holderness. By holding things."
Also I sometimes call him Big McLargehuge. Just ‘cause.
Just because this is like the funniest thing I've read all day....
Today was a weird day for eatin'...I don't think I've eaten enough today. Here's what my day looked like:
Breakfast-- 3 slices of bacon, strawberries, two boiled eggs
Snack-- almonds (throughout the day), Lara bar, small apple
Lunch/dinner-- it was like 5pm by the time I ate again and I was at The Cheesecake Factory (yeah, I'm into torture)...I had the seared tuna tataki salad (and no cheesecake *cue applause*)
Now its 8:23pm and I'm hungry...what should I eat? I bought some no-stir almond butter and would like to make use of it but I've never used almond butter on anything other than a sandwich...or in a smoothie.
Maybe I'll just mangle some of the cherries I bought at Whole Foods this afternoon....
Breakfast! Told you pictures would be coming...I don't love this play but it will do lol. The bacon is organic and uncured...yum!
The first few days...
Have been not so bad!
My husband and I did well and made pretty much enough food to get us through the week. I even survived eating out at the Cheesecake Factory! Thank baby Jesus that it doesnt literally smell like cheesecake in there because I would have been done for!
What I've been eating:
Lots of eggs...mainly for breakfast but one day i did scramble an egg into my ground beef.
All the meat! Chicken, ground beef, turkey bacon, turkey kielbasa, beef burgers and we threw in a little shrimp to break up the meat-fest.
Spaghetti squash, kale, green beans, brussels, yams.
I've basically just been making a meat and then figuring out what veggie I'm in the mood for. Strawberries have been a great little snack as well as apples.
Next week will be a little more organized but things worked out well this week. I'm going to start adding pictures to this situation but I've been eating on ugly plates and I have a real problem with posting my food on an ugly plate (what am I a savage?).
ALSO! My honey and I took before photos on my phone...let me tell you how every time I even THINK I want some sort of junk I go straight to my picture and that pretty much clears up any cravings for sugar or anything remotely off the plan!
Energy levels are up and down and sleep is pretty normal i.e. waking up at least once in the middle of the night to pee and then spending 10-15 minutes tossing and turning before falling asleep again.
